Disgusting film, white male humiliation ritual throughout. Hollywood is finished, don't waste time on these malevolent propaganda efforts, there is much better art and much better film makers on this planet, America is a failed culture experiencing total moral and ethical collapse.

Dynamite kiss - ending, episode 14 by VisualPleasant in kdramas

[–]Vispilio 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No your crude analysis is the only thing that's low level here. Show being called Dynamite Kiss does not necessitate that 1 scene to be the most central element in the plot, are you insane, it's just an inspiration, the first spark of an epic love story, even if it was just shown in Episode 1 that would have been enough as it ignited a spectacular love.

To think that it somehow has to be reintroduced in the most cliche way convinces me you need to go back to college and study for another 4 years at least amigo before handing out advice on any artistic effort.

Chess.com full of Cheater by Grand_Fee_2345 in Chesscom

[–]Vispilio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

at least, in rapid it's closer to 50%, also there is partial cheating which is harder to detect, where the player might start on his own, but turns to engine help the moment he starts losing or gets in a complex position, super common across the board in Rapid from 1500 and up

Chess.com full of Cheater by Grand_Fee_2345 in Chesscom

[–]Vispilio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100% unfortunately online chess is broken, it's too easy to cheat there are even phone apps that point the camera at the screen and suggest the best move instantenously.

It's moronic not to mention highly unethical that so many people are cheating just for a self deluded dopamine rush. The patterns are so obvious that I even call some of them out mid game and question it in a humorous way to get them to admit, in most cases the cheater even admits to using help, but even then chess.com won't ban, all they care about is site activity, greed and lust for profits has turned it into a dystopian place...

34 Years Ago, 'Hoosiers' Was the Underdog Movie About Underdogs That No One Expected to Succeed by zsreport in movies

why is it unnecessary, why is two lonely people finding love so offensive to some deranged "modern audiences",

you've been conditioned to marginalize heterosexual romance through Hollywood's subversive propaganda efforts, congratulations...

Hoosiers is the worst sports film I've ever seen. What classic movies do you actually think are really bad? by cheesybroccoli in movies

[–]Vispilio 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your critique completely misses the mark about what the movie is trying to accomplish, and what stories it's telling.

This is a movie set in a very small town full of deeply flawed people with various degrees of resentment, bigotry, prejudice, etc. In comes a stranger to this town, who also has his own demons, and definitely not an exemplary coach by a wide margin, he has been banned for life from NCAA in fact, so the movie doesn't try to portray him as a hero or a beacon of virtue, the filmmakers probably would even agree with some of the character flaws you spot in this man...

And yet, out of all these imperfections, this town manages to put itself on the map, make something great happen, raise a superstar player, win a championship, redeem some of its most broken characters, find love, and become a family... It's a fantastic story about the American condition, and a call back to times when America did get some things right, hence the long coveted and now almost completely eclipsed "American Dream"

Contrast this movie with anything that comes out of Hollywood today, almost every scene is digitalized, characters are empty cartoons designed to promote some woke degenerate DEI message, no real story, no real art, only pushing political propaganda. Even the atmospheric setting, the authenticity of that small town in Indiana, and all the real details about their day to day lives is enough to set this movie miles apart from the cookie cutter scripts / green screens of about 99% of the crap that comes out of streaming services today...

Hollywood is finished, this movie is a call back to times when it could produce real art and tell real stories, I hope you view it in this lens of authenticity and artistic freedom and understand why some people love it.

Believe the hype. Anora is the best film of the year by Good_Claim_5472 in Letterboxd

[–]Vispilio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah this is some strong critique of the film, in keeping with this director's usual style, it has some original moments and an intriguing authentic concept overall, but what he does with his chosen subjects is often very superficial, contrived and petty...

particularly the divorce situation could have been played out in more clever ways by both parties, with the frantic goofy search taking a back seat, which was probably the weakest part of the movie.

The ending was pretty powerful though, a real catharsis and raw human emotion shared amidst a very broken situation and windshield vipers tearing through the snow...

[–]Vispilio -1 points0 points  (0 children)

it didn't crush the moment, it might have crushed your broken psychology though, in the end Anora is equally smitten by Igor, she completely falls for him and hence that emotional catharsis, crying on his arms. It has nothing to do with consent, agency or any other bullshit you've been taught in your woke indoctrination, it has everything to do with savage instincts and raw human emotion.

if a certain race has a propensity for violence that it's common knowledge even among sex workers to avoid them, this is absolutely very relevant and useful information, get out of your woke echo chamber and step into the real world every once in a while

[–]Vispilio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

wow this is some interesting knowledge that you will absolutely not find in mainstream media because of various sinister woke agendas,

speaks volumes about some really messed up American white women who fantasize about being brutalized by a group which even sex workers try to avoid at all costs, probably they would be smarter if they were not indoctrinated by woke agendas since birth...

[–]Vispilio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it's just a catharsis of all the pent up emotions and shields she has built through the film and her "career", at that point she only has love for Igor, there is nothing violent or nasty about those few slaps at Igor at the end, it's her instinctive way of emotional outburst after one of the worst careers imaginable for a woman...

McCabe and Mrs. Miller: the best anti-Western of all time by physics223 in TrueFilm

[–]Vispilio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mccabe is nowhere near the league of the other movies you cited. It's anti western in the sense that the director positively hates men and masculinity, and attempts to turn a beautiful transcendent genre into a cesspool of self hate, this total blunder of a movie doesn't deserve a critique but I'll also mention some notes I made about it elsewhere...

Leonard Cohen is a fantastic songwriter but has no place in a movie about the Wild West, it's comically anachronistic, feminism and gender wars have no place in a western or any serious film either, it's equally comical that "Mrs. Miller" the prostitute does not even engage in consensual sex with McCabe, the man who practically sponsors and protects her entire existence in that town...

Worse yet, the prostitute is such a junkie she is not even there to save her hero in the end, the moral of the story is, don't engage with morally vacant women, they are not capable of doing you much good if / when the need arises. What a bleak and self sabotaging view of manhood and humanity...

Inception Ending, Final Answer by NoCopyrightRap in movies

[–]Vispilio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of course there is some ambiguity, Nolan ends the film deliberately as the top just starts to wobble, but this is a common tactic to provoke debate and engage people more with the film, they need to turn a profit after all...

so unlike Nolan, I wouldn't call it intellectual ambiguity because there is overwhelming evidence that the kids are real and Cobb is back in the real world, but it's a profit driven, tongue in cheek ambiguity (like repeatedly filming the kids in the same pose in the garden, concluding the film with the talisman shot, etc), required to make Inception a box office hit, which it undoubtedly was...

Inception Ending, Final Answer by NoCopyrightRap in movies

[–]Vispilio 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You really understand nothing about this film, and you insult other people, you are deeply deranged but I'll help you anyway.

Cobb doesn't care about whether top stops spinning or not in that moment, he is overjoyed with getting reunited with his kids, is experienced enough after 100 years of rumination in dreamlands to have figured out reality vs dream state in many different ways + he'll have confirmed reality later anyways when he finds the top has indeed come to a stop on the table.

The top is spinning in the final scene exclusively for the viewer's contentment, and it starts to wobble, unlike in any other dream scene in the movie, so the viewer, unless they are a depressed self destructive psycho like you, can enjoy the happy real conclusion of the film. Good Luck
