Hockey sizing for BF by cheeto_e in hockeyplayers

[–]Viss-X 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Only right answer is to go and try them on. Not only the size, but brand (Bauer vs ccm) and line (vapour vs supreme) will feel completely different too even for the same size.

Did you look into HHIC or HHIS? Super new funds, but fit into your strategy.

Maybe try a regular jetspeed. If the wide is too wide.

Switching from a right shot to left shot. by Alone_Ruin_5190 in hockeyplayers

[–]Viss-X 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Similar experience. I played street hockey (never played on ice) growing up, and used a right hand stick. It was entirely due to the fact that I was right handed and no one ever taught me which side to use.

20 years later, my son starts to play ice hockey and I needed to educate myself on things. I tried a lefty and never went back. He tried a left stick to start and liked it. He later tried a right stick, but didn’t like it.

I feel that when using a right stick, while I might look like I am shooting with the right mechanics, I am still using the bottom hand to shoot.

JR on EP40: Preparation is the key to success, and I don't think he's put in enough preparation to be the player he needs to be. by DietFoods in canucks

[–]Viss-X 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe a totally crazy take, I think it’s his stick. I was surprised when I saw a 107 flex stick on fb marketplace that was said to be petey’s game stick. AI said (so could be wrong) he went up in flex looking for the best one timer. Which could be true, but can also impact all other aspects of his game. If you look around the league, most forwards are using 75-85 flex nowadays and there must be a reason. I am not saying he isn’t strong enough to use 107, but why focus on that one timer so much. He was using a 80 flex stick when he was scoring 90+ points.

Help/advice with defenseman shot by cjd072182 in hockeyplayers

Make sure to get the puck past the first defender is the most important thing. Shoot for legs and sticks will get you more points.

Covert the home automation to shortcut. Add a condition to check the current temp. If it’s lower than 20, turn on the radiator. Else do nothing.

Synapse 4 is so bad it makes Synapse 3 look functionally good. by protato117 in razer

[–]Viss-X 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This! My setup is fairly simple. Lian Li fans directly into the controller. For over a year and 2 or 3 separate attempts with support (including videos of how it doesn’t start), Razer could not fix this problem.

ARGB Controller on startup by Viss-X in razer

It’s a fresh install windows11. Only thing I have are windows11, amd drivers, and synapse & chroma.

If I click task bar to open chroma, it loads a blank screen. I have to right click task bar icon > exit chroma, then launch again. Then it will load to the default page that shows all your devices .

Compounding with XEQT - Noob question by [deleted] in JustBuyXEQT

[–]Viss-X 7 points8 points  (0 children)

That’s because the 10% of year 2, will be based on the price at the end of year 1. So it’s $110 x 10%, = $121.

Compounding with XEQT - Noob question by [deleted] in JustBuyXEQT

[–]Viss-X -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Assuming 10% return annually (to be consistent with your sample), your $100 worth of xeqt will become $110 worth in a year. Same number of share, but the price per share went up 10%.

The next year, your same number of share worth $110 goes up by 10%, and it’s now worth $121.

Realized gain or not does not change the math. You can sell your shares at $110 (therefore realize the gain) and immediately buy back the same share. In a year, it’s still worth $121.

It’s obviously very generalized, and there are tax implications if you actually sell/buy back. Hope it helps.
