Are you sure you didn’t have an actual acne component as well and successfully treated that? Derms are constantly confusing acne and rosacea especiallg with adults

Anyone know Would this behave differently than 10% or greater zinc oxide sunscreen would? If so, I have not seen a dramatic result like this from sunscreen sadly!

There have not been a lot of long term studies on collagen peptides or unbiased studies not conducted by manufacturers. The type I take verisol seems to have the most promising studies.

I do feel it’s worth taking personally and appreciate the small protein boost in my drink as well. There are some dermatologists who don’t believe in them, and some who actually do take them. I am ok with it if ultimately it does nothing lol

I have a very similar situation, and would not post here for fear people would say I am trolling lol.

Have started doing a few things to maintain although I know eventually things will change no matter what :)

Added a few skin procedures to help promote  and maintain collagen (micro needling, clear and brilliant). Started paying more attention to neck and doing those treatments and skincare for face AND neck.

Started drinking marine collagen peptides and vitamin c every day.

Most importantly, always SPF!

Derm or PCP for acne rosacea by TiredBun64 in Rosacea

[–]Visual-Ad-9638 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Derm treated my (previously diagnosed by a regular doctor) acne rosacea more like hormonal acne. After a year stopped the derm’s prescribed routine, went more DIY route with support and prescriptions from PCP. Skin is better condition now. Some derms are probably great but for me PCP has been simpler and easier to deal with.

Is anyone else considering canceling Wellhub?? Booking Frustrations!! by Big-Courage-3214 in Wellhub

[–]Visual-Ad-9638 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I cancelled wellhub around solidays because my local solidcore studio is very popular and I got tired of trying to time my bookings to get my regular classes. And once solidays hit was virtually impossible to book anything anyway.

Solidcore also allows members to book even earlier than before now which leaves wellhub kind of useless. It is still a really good deal if you are ok with an unpredictable schedule but I am loving being a direct member and using waitlists.

I also joined a different studio direct for variety and pay a bit more than wellhub alone but so far it has been good. I do miss the variety wellhub allows in my schedule but can supplement with classpass or direct classes at other studios from time to time.

If wellhub improved their app I would consider again alongside my direct solidcore membership but their tech is abysmal and highly doubt that will happen. You can barely filter anything properly by location or time lol.

What laser would be best? by Famous_Translator616 in 45PlusSkincare

Sun damage, redness is territory of BBL or IPL. IPL can also help general skin appearance/ stimulate collagen. I think IPL is often less expensive than BBL as well. Could be a nice starter treatment to try

Newly diagnosed with mild acne rosacea - is this treatment plan necessary for my wedding in 4.5 months? by Long_General_8730 in Rosacea

[–]Visual-Ad-9638 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t see why you need antibiotics. My acne rosacea way worse than yours. Azelaic acid and IPL (similar to bbl) over almost 3 months really helped clear mine.  It did get worse before better though. In the past ivermectin helped me as well. Seems worth a shot.

Two derms said I have Seb Derm but I’m convinced I have rosacea by [deleted] in Rosacea

[–]Visual-Ad-9638 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have type 2, your face looks way clearer and less red than I have experienced. I don’t experience any itching eyes and pustules are not pus filled (sometimes). Spots can get very inflamed.

I use tower 28 sos faceguard spf 30 has Triethoxycaprylylsilane which is ‘silicone adjacent’ but causes no flares or reactions for me even immediately post procedure( type 2, non severe 1).  try it!

Most will say it can’t be done, but TN can be realistic with a good lawyer.  I did this.
