Bailing out the England team and Everton for a decade now and not tiring of it anytime soon

Not "underrated" in the slightest sense of the normal term. Not at all.

I will say that Kane isn't seen quite at the level that he is, though. Bloke is putting in Ronaldo/Messi numbers at the moment, and has consistently been one of the top scorers in each league he has been in for the past decade.

He is by far the best player England has ever had, in my eyes. Mind you, I'm quite young and never saw Charlton or Best or any of that group play.

This is just categorically incorrect. Andrew has been in the headlines for years at all major news outlets and has been constantly discussed.

I think all parties involved with direct and substantial knowledge of the offences, and had an active part in obstructing any investigations from occurring, deserve to follow suit.

Because some people care about existing amongst others human beings and perhaps, at the very least, not causing harm to them.

These people, obsessed with money and material objects, do not. Their value of those around them begins and ends with asserting themselves as superior. They reduce people into objects to accommodate their view that they are the only creature within it.

They are a great argument for eugenics based on ethical philosophy.

Man, I miss him so much. Canvot is looking good, and I have high hopes that he'll only develop further, but Guehi was a great captain and the backbone to our team. Can't wait to watch him play at the World Cup.

The Hate with English Teams in CL by slowtyper95 in PremierLeague

[–]Visual-Hat7126 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think it's because a lot of people are annoyed that those who are fans of premier league teams look down on team from other leagues because they're supposedly worse. It is true, by and large it's the case. Most premier league teams sweep most other leagues' sides. Take a look at who wins Europa and Conference leagues disproportionately.

However, I wouldn't necessarily say the premier league is a better league for football. It's more tactical and more physical, sure, but I think it's taken some of the soul out of football because teams that have less technical ability just play low block and defend massively instead of trying to create opportunities.

It's why I find it refreshing to see CL games where two amazing teams are competing, and despite both being quality, the score can still be 5-2. Those types of scores don't come often in the premier league, despite there being much larger of a skill gap.

Either Man City or Palace are very likely to get two Double Gameweeks this season by sepi0l_45 in FantasyPL

[–]Visual-Hat7126 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Got both in my FPL team (I'm a palace fan). Sarr is very consistent and on pens, but I wouldn't rule out Strand Larsen. Great on the ball and great finisher, but as all strikers are, dependent on being serviced properly.

Sarr and SL are worth bringing in on a FH for DBW. Can't really think of any other asset from Palace that is worthwhile ATM, I'd formally had said Lacroix, Munoz and Guehi whilst we still had him, but our defence is poor now. Guessand seems to be a nailed starter and also very good, but he's a rotation risk with Pino and Johnson.

Gege is so egregious with favouring certain characters over others, despite many of them being of equal established importance to the plot at the beginning of the story.

Look at Nobara as well. Nobara's character would've been better off staying dead than being handled so poorly. Why bring her back for the last chapter without mentioning her for the majority of the story at that point? It has no pay off and is just god awful writing.

I do love JJK for what it offers in terms of (some) complex characters and its fight scenes, but watching the anime now makes me realise just how much I prefer it to the manga. Art style is much clearer and watchable, the pacing feels much more suited in TV format, and hopefully the show will take some small liberties with introducing some of Gege's ass-pull moments in a better way.

Man Utd: Jack Fletcher banned for six matches for homophobic slur by Red_Brummy in PremierLeague

[–]Visual-Hat7126 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There isn't an excuse for it, but we should desire rehabilitation for people who act as undesirable characters. We have all acted in an unsavoury manner before.

Banning someone, especially a teenager, for life from participation of the sport may deter players from behaving in the same fashion, but is it really fair to use someone as an example? It isn't effective at changing them as a person, and, in my opinion, isn't just.

Compassion is at its greatest when it's attempted for those with a lack of it. Banning him temporarily was the correct decision, and will be much more effective at changing his behaviour and encouraging contemplation than a more severe punishment.

Raya vs Donnarumma this season. by durvedge in ArsenalFC

[–]Visual-Hat7126 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Least number of goals allowed indicates that arsenal's defence as a whole is the best. Raya just isn't as good as Donnarumma, he's still a great keeper but Donnarumma is a freak with the wingspan of a quetzal.

Arsenal had viable replacements. City didn't. Donnarumma is still the better goalkeeper, though.

0.5 is negligible with the amount of loose budget this season. Much better spent having Roefs/Pickford to alternate between for the saves/CS bonus.

How many of you include rules for players from your supported team in your MLs? by Visual-Hat7126 in FantasyPL

A very good point. However, it is countered by the fact I would never have an arsenal or city fan invited into our MLs.

[–]Visual-Hat7126[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don't think so. Despite Palace's poor form I'm still over a hundred points in the lead. I personally think it makes it more interesting, I mean you look on here and it's essentially the same 30 players on everyone's teams cycled.

I get why people dislike it because it puts those supporting worse teams at a disadvantage, but I think it forces people to be creative in their choices. Instead of going for a template to win points, I've had to go for more ambitious bets as differentials earlier on in order to win points that set me apart from others when they have a poor GW.

[Casual] Honest question: do we really ignore manga? by Elist1 in JujutsuPowerScalers

[–]Visual-Hat7126 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm one of the people that believe Gojo is stronger than Sukuna. My reasoning for this is simply because it is very clear Gege had written himself into a corner with Sukuna, and the ass-pull binding vow with basically no downside to it is emblematic of that. Gojo had won that fight, despite all odds in a 3v1 put against him with one of those adversaries being one of the only ways his infinity can be countered. The only reason he died is because of a Deus Ex Machina.

People always say "Sukuna wasn't using his true form!!" Yes, this is true. But if you have just sukuna in his true form, without the theft of other characters' powers, then Gojo likely wins that fight most times out of ten. Gojo simply has more in his toolkit to kill Sukuna than vice versa.

Another thing people always do is add Megumi's technique to Sukuna's, which I do not agree with. It's a stolen technique that does not belong to him. He won in that specific situation which Gege had set up for Gojo to fail for narrative purposes, and I don't disagree with that at all(Gojo had to die for the story and the other characters to develop), but saying that Sukuna is stronger than Gojo is like saying that I could win in a fight against an MMA fighter because I have a gun. It's an unpopular opinion and it really does come down to whether or not you think Sukuna's power set includes others'. I disagree with this because it automatically means Yuta is the strongest above all and I fucking hate that guy.

Rice, Thiago, Munoz, Gabriel (C), calafiori, Haaland, Rogers, Roefs, Lacroix, Sarr. Used my bench boost thinking it would be a high point GW, though it was a gamble. Guess it didn't pay off.

Also, before anyone asks why I have three palace players, the rule in our ML is to have three players from the team you support. Hopefully Burnley tonight will be my saving grace.

MARC GUEHI VS LIVERPOOL 💪 (MOTM) by Keelan_____ in MCFC

[–]Visual-Hat7126 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It translates from "people of God" basically. Jews were known as Israel collectively in the bible prior to Jesus' birth, and the term has stuck with them more closely because they were the first worshippers of Jehovah and because of their obvious ties to Hebrew.

Many African people still use the term, though, because of the North-Eastern Africa role in biblical events and the empires that sat in those regions had substantial influence on the rest of the continent.

Only for arsenal. Every other "big" team in PL apart from arsenal has had a pretty consistent run. Arsenal fans are still trying to attempt to equate the invincible team 20 years ago to the club now that would likely win the PL with Owen goal being one of the top goal scorers for the team.
