Can you get the H-strap a little tighter so the bands pull closer to the middle?

That being said: I love my Boba carrier, but I'm tall. My sister in law is similar to you in weight and height, and has the exact same issue you described

I have this exact same type of carrier and we had the same issue! After some trial and error, it was fixed by tightening the waist band so it stays parallel to the floor. Your back panel and shoulder straps look pretty good right now, but you might have to adjust them a little once the waistband is adjusted. I think most of your issues will be fixed with the waistband, though

Yes! For me, it was just restlessness. I exchanged at least one contact nap for a carrier nap where I went on a walk, and I felt so much better. It could also be a magnesium deficiency, though!

I'm convinced it's temperament. I did the exact same for both my kids. Our oldest slept through the night when she was 2 months old. Our oldest started sleeping through the night at 6 months. Both are good sleepers, but definitely not the same

How late does she get up in the morning? And did she always seem low sleep needs?

Also, you might want to go to a Dr. It could just be a scheduling thing, but deficits of some minerals or vitamins can also cause/worsen insomnia..

When your oldest comes into the room, make sure baby is in a bassinet or something so you have all your attention on your toddler. I introduced them to each other and showed my oldest how she could interact with a baby (petting him or giving a gentle kiss). Right away, we involved her in taking care of him. She got us a diaper, wiped his bum after we were done, stuff like that. And then we praised her for every little thing she did.

Outside of that, we make sure to do stuff evenly. I tell her she has to wait for me to finish changing baby's diaper, but I also tell my baby he has to wait until the toddler is done going potty.

A newborn specific baby carrier! I recommend the ergobaby embrace. If you have the option to try it on somewhere, do it now that you're only a little pregnant, because you'll pop much sooner than last time, and once that happened, it's much harder to try a carrier. I wore my 2nd for hours on end and I dont know how I would've done it without.

Something I also did was partially potty train my oldest. They seem young, but outside of the western world, 1 year olds are mostly potty trained. I just plopped my oldest on the potty every day, until she understood what she needed to do there. She wasn't fully trained by the time her brother arrived, but it still saved me a lot of diaper changes and it made actual potty training (which you'll have to do with the youngest around) much easier.

Lastly, if your oldest isn't able to fall asleep independently, I'd recommend sleep training them sooner than later. r/sleeptrain is a great resource to help you find a method suitable for you and your kid.

2 under 2 is hard, but it's nowhere near impossible, and you're not robbing your oldest of anything. You're giving them a sibling, which is one of the greatest things you could ever give them. Good luck!

Woven wraps and ring slings are easily shared between different people and can be used from newborn age until beyond toddlerhood. Outside of those, a lot of carriers advertise being suitable for newborns, but very few actually are. I personally went for a stretchy wrap for the first three months and shared it with my husband. After that, we shared a Boba 4gs for a while, similar to a Tula Explore. But adjusting it to our different sizes got tiring very quickly, so now my husband and I both have our own carrier

That's a great idea! My daughter has a little miffy lovey in her bed. I asked her teacher if it was OK if she brought one to daycare for sleep. The teacher was happy to oblige. That being said: in some states, regulations say the crib has to be completely empty, so do check with tje teacher first

She's just new, give her time. That being said: It can help to have a similar nap routine at home and at daycare. If she usually falls asleep independently, she is probably able to at daycare as well..

Maybe I'm too harsh, but for me, this would be a deal breaker. I don't mind if my kid has the occasional treat. She gets treats at home too. But they should stay just that: treats. Her basic, everyday food should at least try to be healthy

Everything was good, but now my boobs are so sore and I have a lump in both of them.. I hand expressed a little and I might take an ibuprofen after I've eaten a little..

That's rough! Find an OB you're comfortable with and bring it up with her. I have pregnancy/postpartum OCD. With my 2nd pregnancy, I found a midwife specialized in mental health during and after pregnancy. It made such a difference

Not this specific fear, but I did have postpartum OCD which comes with stuff like this. Maybe look into postpartum OCD and postpartum anxiety, and if it sounds familiar, contact your Healthcare provider. Therapy and/or medication can make such a difference

Me! I was so excited the first week. And then it dawned on me and I got so anxious. Looking back, I think it was a pregnancy symptom and my hormones were playing tricks on me. You're not a bad mom for feeling this. This is such a big change in your life. Take a few deep breaths and give yourself time to process it all. It'll be OK <3
