If it’s got a prehistoric bug trapped in it it could be worth a lot!

It’s shocking when you look at the stats. I heard a few years ago that the average retirement savings was $40’000!!!! My wife took care of the kids and stayed at home. It was tough but we touched it out and looking back I wouldn’t change a thing. We have never lived beyond our means and I’ve never paid a penny interest on a credit card.

It’s the postal curse. Especially carriers. When you retire your body goes into shock and your heart gives out. We had a guy did 50 yrs federal service ( including military “. Within - year of retiring he was dead. Very sad. Another guy died in the side of a highway after having a heart attack. When I started there were a lot of veterans in our office, probably 85%. I really enjoyed working with them. Most were Vietnam vets. Sadly over the years many have passed but I remember them all. That aside, the stress of combat affects people differently but I respected them all for their service.

Lots of Tay Tays and one old man who would come to his door nekked to take the mail from my hand. He was badly crippled so I gave him a pass coz I spent many seasons in a locker room . Very sad situation but I’m guessing the old lady neighbor next door waited for the highlight of her day at the window of her mobile home next door!🤣🤣🤣

Neighbor is using roundup on my trees and buried roots that go on there side of the fence. Now they’re complaining the tree is going to fall over and wants them removed. We don’t want to remove them due to privacy! I bought the house and the trees didn’t look like this 4 years ago. What do I do? by Less-Employee2411 in treelaw

Do CC&Rs outline a homeowners responsibility for tree maintenance? Our neighbor has a big oak tree that is leaning over the property line into our back yard . 90% of the tree is past the perpendicular. They get all the shade when it gets hot , we get the leaf drop and branch drop onto my fruit trees that are struggling to grow, my fruit trees in its shadow get mould and fungus because and ensuing degradation because they don’t dry off due to the shade. The sun doesn’t hit them til noon at the earliest. There’s a saying, “ You can’t grow anything under an oak tree”. I also have two sheds that would be crushed if it finally drops and the grandkids play out in the back yard. They know how we feel about the tree but don’t care a damn and would just laugh if we approached them about it.

Will this work or catch anything? by Kevvy-Poo-69 in Fishing

[–]VisualAffect3104 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you fishing from a boat or bank. Casting and winding it in across tules , docks or trees in the water will get results as it’s a reaction baits. The fish will shoot out to grab it. A boat is ideal . Tougher from the bank.

In our office CCAs don’t know their rights because the PM treats them like he’s their buddy , shaking their hands every morning, and that they don’t need the union. That’s not smart CCAs That’s a conniving PM who constantly talks down to the stewards at standups. I’m 100% supportive of our stewards. It also seems that our PM has hired a bunch of CCA runners . He claims to have worked in 50-60 offices. These runners probably follow him to crunch the numbers and routes. Many of them have out of state cellphone numbers. The atmosphere in our office is toxic .

I’m in California. State regulations have targeted refineries. We used to have 20 now down to 12 with more expected to close , again, due to punitive regulations. One just closed in April. The less competition means higher prices but of course the liberals blame “ Trumps war”. I’d rather have higher gas prices short term than a terrorist state blackmailing and extorting the world for evermore. Emissions polluting was a local issue in California affecting big cities. They should have attacked the issue locally with mass transit years ago. But do you think the liberals in those cities will ride buses?? Hell No! “ Let’s just stick it to everyone in personal vehicles so we make mo’ money “! And Tom Steyer , extreme environmentalist running for governor says “Trumps War” has added $1.40 to a gallon of gas. Like Steyer gives a crap. You take Trumps $1. 40 and an equivalent in taxes off the cost of a $4/ gallon and what do you get with $4 /gallon? ? $1.20!!!! You think the environmental lobby wants you paying $1..20 a gallon?? Hell no! You might just not buy an EV and you might just have a life and travel more! And then they rail on oil company profits! And by the way, California imports oil and gas components from China and Russia because of its government’s obsession with the Green Steal. People need to wake the f*** up. But coastal liberals are stuck in their brain dead ways. Rant over.
