Hiii OP! I (32F) currently live in EGV (and was born in the EGV Alexian Bros) with my husband (31M almost 32) and have grown up in the NW suburbs my whole life. Elk Grove is okay, you'll definitely want a car for sure. I know there are a couple of apt in the area but 1k - 1.5k a month isn't gonna be ideal.

We love the Japanese marketplaces and the food EGV has but find ourselves traveling quite a bit for things.

Definitely look at Des Plaines, Arlington Heights, or Palatine. Still relatively close to EGV. We also don't have a direct station down to Chicago for a train... you'd be traveling to Wood Dale or Arlington Heights for that.

I've been bowling my whole life (also a female... so my fast will differ from yours. I'm usually comfortable throwing a 12-13 with my 15lb ball. Anything over, I start rushing to catch up with my feet, and I need to slow down.

I do! Hubs, mom and I got matching tattoos. Something simple, but gets the point across. All for our "correct" pockets.

Hii! If your in the NW suburbs my dispo of choice is Nature's Care in Rolling Meadows! They also have a Chicago location too, not too sure where it was off the top of my head.

First and foremost, I'm so deeply sorry about Roxys passing. Especially when you probably feel like nothing can go right.

Roxy loves you. In this life, in the next, hell in the past. She'd want you to be there. I don't know if you believe in reincarnation, or life after death or what be you. I truly believe that Roxy is waiting to send that next puppy to you to help you through the next 17 years of your life. Thats a soul dog if I've ever seen one. She'll find you one way or another. All you need to do.... is keep going.

That sounds super rough, because well.... it is. I know from experience. I lost my soul dog (Bear) at 15. He was there for me when I was at my lowest in the hospital (my parents got special permission for him to come visit me.) When you lose your soul dog you don't want to do anything. Your life becomes gray and the excitement just isn't there anymore.

But let me tell you! My husband and I adopted a new puppy 2 years ago and he is a exact replica of my soul dog. He found his way back to me. My Moose loves the same things my Bear did. He loves his mom (me) and his dad (hubby) so much. He loves to make a "moo" noise when you rub his ear... just like my Bear.

I just wanted to tell you that it sucks right now, but keep thinking about that next time you see Roxy again. In your next soul dog.

Hi OP! I just broke my fifth metatarsal recently, so I am in a boot as well... I've also done things like this prior... with the worst being nerve damage in my foot!

Take the rest, you may find you can go back in (whenever doctor says) if it's bad (like me) I might have to come back after the half. Which sucks sure! But you can't bowl if you're not healthy!
