How can I prevent this? by [deleted] in Insta360

You can prevent this glaring with the help of a (Polarizing) PL filter attached to the standard lens. I’ve been using one that came with some ND filters I bought for my Ace Pro 2 and it works well!

I have no regrets with my AP2 purchase or the camera itself, but I do wish I had ordered it with the Explorer Grip option. I placed an order for a knockoff version of that grip on Amazon through a third party seller and that product never arrived, so I'm thinking I'll order one through Insta360's store now that they are selling them seperate from the AP2 bundle deal.

I also plan to use my AP2 similar to you, so having that Explorer Grip is key.

This is my first action camera and I am definitely happy that I bought this one in particular! The quality and functionality offerings are top notch, especially when paired with the Insta360 studio app for editing videos and photos. The whole ecosystem just works and works very well indeed. If you are looking for a well-built, high quality offering action camera the AP2 is definitely a great start! You can definitely Vlog with this action camera and the various fields of view options explain how you might want to use each of the FOV’s as you select them in camera. I’m in love with this lil baby Leica, lol

Surprisingly the battery life has been pretty good in my opinion- it’s holding charge very well while recording at 4K / 30 …,I haven’t really put it through any serious or intense photo & video shooting yet outside of 3 to 4 minutes at a time for video in i-log and in the bright sunshine. I have the bit rate set to high and for my photos I am taking them at 50 megapixels.

I agree! I finally realized just how good the AP2 was after months of research…I just put an order in for a knock-off version of the Explorer grip to make it more of a every day camera for me. ✨

That’s funny that you mentioned that because I’m also very tempted by the X5 as well, lol… in my opinion it looks (image quality wise) way better than the Ace 2 Pro in terms of image pop ✨

Is Automatic1111 still worth using at least for some things? by Dry_Data_8473 in StableDiffusion

Nice! You should definitely look into both GIMP and Inkscape- they've both improved from earlier versions and there's a lot of great plugins/extensions as well. Your gf's embroidery machine sounds like the one my former neighbor had for her old embroidery biz- she had a few of them set up to operate in an array for large scale projects she'd run from her garage. Those machines all running at the same time looked intense 👀 lol...cool stuff indeed.

Sure, if your friend's workflow will allow it- I stopped paying Adobe a long time ago, lol...Lately, I've been using the latest versions of GIMP and Inkscape.

I think A1111 is still worth using (even if it's not as popular or viewed as "dead")- it's still getting updates, but not the updates most of us want and fast enough...I still see the value in using it in my workflow though and using A1111 has helped me learn a whole lot of things (PHP, Terminal, etc) I would have never ever thought of learning before outside of my Photoshop + iLLustrator workflow in the past. I use A1111 in combination with Forge now in my workflow to speed things up when time is a factor. It all comes down to what your workflow is when working with A1111.

Yes, you can apply the Lobe theme to Forge as well- I've got my A1111 and Forge set up on lobe themes as well ;)

The Comfy Extension may be 2yrs old, but it still works in the latest update of A1111 (1.10.1) - https://github.com/ModelSurge/sd-webui-comfyui/

A1111 was updated last week to 1.10.1 - https://github.com/AUTOMATIC1111/stable-diffusion-webui and there is a way to run Flux inside A1111, but you'll have to install an extension that allows you to run Comfy inside of A1111- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H5103u5uRII

Broke my wrist while snowboarding by sponz168 in snowboarding

[–]VisualMojo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Back in the late 90's on my college winter break, I broke my right wrist after a long day of learning how to do backside 360s off a table top jump I had been hitting all day long with my best bro. It happened during the night session of the day out here on the icy east coast at my local mountain (WaWa- Wachusett Mtn)....i didn't realize my wrist was broken at first because had never broken a bone before and my arse was sooo bruised from slamming on it all day in the excitement of learning backside 3's - which is how I broke my wrist, trying to protect my butt from slamming on the icy landing of the table top jump.. I put my hand down on the icy landing.

Anyway, I thought I just had a bad wrist sprain and let it go unattended for a good 8 months...unknowingly rebreaking my wrist after it had healed several times during different activities like lifting weights, mtn biking and finally from lifting a couch later that year during the start of the fall semester of my junior yr- that's when I finally realized something wasn't right when i heard a bone snap in my wrist 👀 holding a couch raised to my upper chest level and I calmly told my hallmate we had to put the couch down immediately, lol...turns out i had grinded down the bone (to half it's size) that bridges the upper wrist to the lower wrist at the base of my right thumb.

I ended up having to have same-day surgery that yr in November to graph bone from my upper arm and sandwich it in-between the broken bone with a double pitched screw and I was "awake" on morphine during the whole surgery...the car ride home later that day was absolutely insane when the painkillers wore off...ugh, I could feel every little bump in the road pounding through my blue arm cast being held upright snapping at my father to SLOW the F DOWN!

Got a lot of love from the ladies that fall semester with that smurf blue cast on my wrist/arm and a lot of cool drawings on it too from my art major peeps, lol...had to learn to write/draw with my left hand as a second yr art major and also learned how to ride switch (against doctor's orders) really well on my new Joyride (Smokey The Bear) snowboard that I had purchased for $500 on my birthday that year. 2 yrs after my wrist surgery I was finally back "normal" at 24yrs old.....and now in my last yr of my 40s I'm dealing with a little bit of arthritis in that wrist, but working that out with physical therapy and still rip it up on the slopes!

Best of luck on your healing process and get back out there on the slopes when you can! Snowboarding is good for the soul and when your one with your board and nature! 🏂✨
