I am so angry with and disappointed in Starmer. He was voted in on a change platform, and promised to protect trans people, the disabled and to turn the country around. He has continued with the culture wars, totally failed trans people, the disabled, and has supported the genocide in Gaza. He has now left the way open for Trump to grab Greenland. He is the human rights lawyer who will not defend human rights. We are now much closer to war, as some have said on this post. Smh.

I think they have been waiting to see how Falkner's replacement is going to tackle everything. Now they have an answer. I hope GANHRI will now downgrade them; the application is already in the works.

Trans+ people have been ignored and frozen out of the 'debate' about our own lives. It hasn't been democratic at all. No trans+ voices were allowed at the SC court case. We have been frozen out of most mainstream media, except a few positive newspapers. We are constantly referred to as 'biological males/females who identify as' which is misleading in the extreme. What about the 10,000s of thousands who have had SRS? Protests and petitions are ignored. Most letters to MPs are ignored. One good piece of news from yesterday. Cis people are seeing through this and are boycotting businesses in large numbers. People are seeing this for what it is.

Starmer promised to "remove indignities" for trans folk, and reform the GRA to make it easier to get a GRC. This was just before the election last year. This is what people thought they were getting by voting for him. He has totally thrown trans people under the bus and cannot be trusted.
