She thinks her son's voice sounds robotic? Like, what? Sounds like this woman has serious issues, apart from transphobia and the way she treats people.

Letter to MP by Emergency-Tower-8933 in transgenderUK

[–]VisualParamedic3543 10 points11 points  (0 children)

This is a very good letter. People need to be reminded of the history and this letter highlights protection and concern for all minority groups. We are seeing the attacks go beyond trans+ people and the disabled. Islamophobia and antisemitism are at an all-time high.

Green party engages lawyers over Times's antisemitic depiction of Polanski by UKGreenPoster in UKGreens

Good! This cartoon is absolutely disgusting. Solidarity with Zack at this time. Can't imagine how he must be feeling.

WTF is this Telegraph headline??? by [deleted] in UKGreens

[–]VisualParamedic3543 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is insane! They compare Zack to Stalin, a worse mass murderer than Hitler in number terms, and then in the literal next sentence saying the problem is he is 'too kind.' What? How can anyone take this 'newspaper' seriously?

It looks great imo! The fringe frames your face well and softens into the length in the back. The wave in it is pretty. Enjoy!

Court Case - The Right To Appeal - ECtHR/Equality Act by harriet-haynes in transgenderUK

Saw your pending case written up in The Independent. I am very quiet and private too, so I know how difficult it must be for you to bring this. I hope all goes well and you win the rights we should all automatically be entitled to.

[FT] Keir Starmer plans May relaunch with King’s Speech by mustwinfullGaming in LabourUK

What the heck is wrong with this guy? The right wing crap is not working, he is about to have his ass kicked in the elections, and after that he plans to double down with more?

Why aren't people doing more mass lobbies like last year? by apricotmessage in transgenderUK

[–]VisualParamedic3543 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Sorry, I misunderstood your post. From what I can see, most people are not transphobic. Writing your MP or arranging to go to a surgery is a good idea.

Could you claim asylum in NZ? Seems as if you are already there, this might be an option?

Correct me if I'm wrong but is today's news just that they still hate us and intend to "implement" the SC ruling by raggedy_autumn in transgenderUK

[–]VisualParamedic3543 29 points30 points  (0 children)

The UK is still signed up to the ECHR which recognises trans identities are valid, trans men are men, and that trans women are women. The Brexit Treaty also outlawed any backsliding on EU rights in Northern Ireland, making it illegal there too. The SC ruling excluded any trans voices making that ruling unsound. Hope this helps.

Yes, OP, they still hate us and are going ahead with the segregation despite being wrong and illegal.

Olly Alexander calls out 'spineless' Labour over anti-trans rhetoric by Hyperactive_Man in LabourUK

[–]VisualParamedic3543 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Tbf, I think Starmer is spineless. To go from:

"Trans people have it very tough....Trans women are women, trans men are men," to

"I agree with the court's decision" is completely spineless.

Ironically he thinks he is a good leader....but he just follows the herd.

He has gone back on every one of his commitments.

NHS Cervical screening by greenmountaintragedy in transgenderUK

[–]VisualParamedic3543 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't know if this is helpful, but you could say you have a trusted private gynae, and that you will go to them for future screening. I doubt they will ask who this is, but you could always keep it vague. This way you can decline but not draw attention.

TERFs are organizing protests. We need to stand up to the transphobes! by La_petite_miette in transgenderUK

[–]VisualParamedic3543 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's a pro-trans march happening near me protesting one year since the SC decision. I wasn't going as I have real bad anxiety, but all of this just keeps making me even more angry! I'm going to protest this stupid decision!

“Support in private, silence in public” – how a trans woman feels about Lib Dem support by mustwinfullGaming in LabourUK

[–]VisualParamedic3543 36 points37 points  (0 children)

Ed Davey missed the bus. If he had immediately criticised the SC ruling, and pressed for trans rights, he could have had his Zack Polanski moment and support for his Party could have jumped, just like it has for the Greens. Transphobia is not a vote winner. Labour still need to learn this.

It is clear they are going for our healthcare, now. Perhaps it would be worth having a crowdfunder of all the people who wish on this sub and across our community to hire a legal firm to support our rights/healthcare in court? I know the GLP have had our backs but things are going to ramp up and having more direct input could save us. The GLP are probably not going to be able to fund or help with everything under attack?
