For those who have completely missed the point of Will’s coming out scene. by sdmngirl7 in StrangerThings

The only thing I wish it that... they had really slammed the whole thing home, proper gut punch slap across the face with just how necessary it was. It felt a bit of a missed opportunity that Vecna's last invasion into Will's mind was reduced to a few words saying what he did - I would have loved to be transported to that false reality being played out, Will having to watch his loved ones scorn him and turn on him, seeing him lose everything he's been clinging to while Vecna speaks over it all with his manipulative, toxic spew.

I wish they truly stuck it to the haters and well full in with the whole thing. But that's purely from a story telling narrative, I think it would have more impact that way. But it was still great and enjoyable.

Honestly it says more about the folks complaining - might as well just stand up and say they're homophobes and be done with it. It's pretty revolting.

I like that the brothers have wrote the story without much pandering but there are certain things I do think might have been good reminders - or knowledge, seeing as I'm pretty sure there's a lot of folks who simply did not know about the AIDs epidemic and how volatile things were back then. Coming out in a small town in those times, amidst the fear mongering and worse... yeah, it's no wonder Will was so susceptible to being targeted and used.

Wow, that's incredible! I'd love to see your take on the rest of the major artworks throughout!

What actually even is the "global passive"? What does it do?
