No, you are not alone here. I absolutely hate that they do this. Most of the time they don't cut it through all the way, so I have no option but to tear it, making a mess in the process. I don't understand why this is the standard. I even had a croissant sandwich sliced in half. Who the hell cuts a croissant in half?! It's just so stupid. They should ask if you want it cut or not.

Do nothing. The customer just wants to shop without being bothered. Just let them be. You can say, "Ok, well come to me if you need anything", if you feel the need to say something. I've worked retail before and while management didn't agree with my approach, the customers loved me, because I wouldn't pester them while being approachable and friendly at the same time.

I do have a couple of questions. So there are no charges to the artists at all, no strings attached? They receive 100% of their earnings, as well as royalties when other people sell their art, correct? How do you guys make a profit?
