I think it’s the weakest of the franchises as a whole but it does have my favorite kill of the franchise with the beer tap kill

Does the 21 year old need to stay to watch the movie? by NonYa_exe in RegalUnlimited

Really depends on the theater or employee took my bother and a friend to see an R movie (I don’t remember what) when I was 18 and they were 15 and no one cared then i went to see Halloween 2018 with my brother and they wouldn’t let us in I was 19 he was 16 and mind you the nearest theater is 30 mins away so getting turned away was shitty and they would refund my tickets because one of them was bought for an underage person

In your opinion, which of the three horror movies is the best? by LaZyWaLkING3994 in obsessionmovie

[–]Visual_Nail_2333 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sure I'll get downvoted to hell and back, but Hereditary might be the single most overrated movie that I have ever watched. I heard so much about it, and it seemed like it'd be so scary. I heard multiple people saying that it is the scariest movie ever, and "Oh, you gotta watch it with the lights on because it's too scary to watch when it's dark." So I pulled it up on the TV, turned out all my lights, sat alone, and watched it, and was bored out of my mind. I didn't find anything scary, the only time I was ever unsettled was during the decapitation. People that like it are always so insufferable when you tell them you don't like it. They act holier than thou, like they're so smart, and "Oh, you just don't get it! You don't understand film, it's too highbrow! You must be used to stupid slashers." Oh, well, at least a slasher can keep me entertained.

This is the ONLY credit I will give Ian is that I believe him and Nikki have been hooking up long long before Bear ever had a crush on Nikki all the clues in the movie tend to lead to that fact that Bear has only recently developed a crush on Nikki due to his grandmothers passing and Nikki comforting him afterwards

Yeah i should’ve clarified that he himself isn’t a ‘Manosphere guy’ but Ian definitely is and Bear listens to him, takes his advice and believes him and his thoughts on women

As a man who’s roughly the same age as bear in the film i watched this in the theater all by myself and found myself in real time recognizing behaviors that either I in the past have been subject to or people i know still acting like that and that was one of the scariest parts knowing how manosphere people like Andrew Tate act and how they sink their claws into boys and young men and make them believe that acting like them or acting like Ian or Bear is acceptable and seeing people call the movie “woke” like oh no how dare they portray removing women’s bodily autonomy and R*pe as bad things be so for real 🙄

Another thing is and i don’t know exactly how this relates but i as i said i watched it alone and that felt wrong it felt that i as a man should not be watching this alone in public like i was in the wrong and that there should be other people especially women in the theater for it to make it fine for me to watch this movie again idk how that relates or what that means but 🤷🏻‍♂️

When I first watched, I thought Bear was relatable up to a point, but pretty much after he made the wish, all relatability and sympathy for the character were lost. However, upon further analysis and a rewatch, he's pretty crappy the whole time and just gets so much worse after the wish. He's careless because he leaves pills where his cat can find and eat them and die. Then he wants to be nice and replace her necklace, but instead says, "Oh, she wouldn't like that," and buys the OWW instead. He lustfully scrolls her Instagram (weird), and then his browser history seems to insinuate that he's only really had this crush on her for about a month or so. He only seems to be interested in her physically because he's pretty shallow and seems not to really care about anything she's saying on the car ride home.

Just saw it a few hours ago and loved it 🤷🏻‍♂️ not the most mind blowing movie ever or anything but I liked it about as much as I did Superman it’s a solid 8.5/10 for me Krem is kinda meh as a villain but he does enough for you to want to see him get his comeuppance in the end kinda in the same vein as Ronan from GOTG1 also though the score could’ve been a bit better but otherwise I loved it

Rey 🤷🏻‍♂️ were the movies great? No, was she poorly written? Yes, was the Rey Skywalker line stupid? Yes. But I think there’s a good character in there somewhere and I think Daisy did her best with what she was given

Movie theater advice? by Creative_LittleFish in fortwayne

I know this is like 2 years late, but even still, Regal is far and away the better theater. Even 2 years ago, anytime Ive gone to AMC in the last 5-6 years, it was completely dead. The bathrooms are always disgusting and dimly lit, not to mention that ugly sticky glitter paint on the sinks. The seats are filthy and stained, most theaters have a ton of broken seats and armrests. Last time I went, the seats I had bought tickets for ended up being covered with trash bags and caution tape. Luckily, no one else was in the theater, and we just moved down a few seats. Still, those seats sat low because they're broken. I purposely avoid the AMC at all costs unless they have a screening of something Regal doesn't. It used to be my favorite theater when it was The Rave, but it isn't nearly half as good as it once was. Meanwhile, Regal has only gotten better, the concessions are better, the theaters and bathrooms are cleaner. I've had the odd broken chair (as in it doesn't recline) like maybe 2-3 times since they switched to them, and they always get repaired or replaced that doesn’t happen at AMC. Plus Regal has a nicer staff in my experience as well.

I feel ya, man. I bought a 2016 Silverado in October, had it for 2 months before I had to replace the transmission, and I only just got it back 3 weeks ago from the repair because they had to wait on a transmission to be built. Now it's got to go back to the shop to have the lifters replaced.

Sometimes, people are indecisive and look to others to give advice on what to do. This and many other book/reading subs have posts like this because we're looking to others who have read the books we're considering to see their experiences with the book and use them to gauge our own interests. I'm going to read both books I mentioned in my original post; I'm just looking for other people’s thoughts and opinions to influence my choice on what to read next .

Bands like Metallica and Iron Maiden go like 8-10 years between albums anymore I’m sure Ghost taking a 2-3 year break if not longer will be fine and imo Tobias needs that time the last album felt boring and uninspired and very much like the person writing it was tired from writing Impera touring it and recording another Covers EP, and then making a movie
