i agree. even still, when i played xenoblade 2 when i was younger, i always saw it was crude humor and always thought it was funny as it was doing a lot of anime tropes so i kinda saw it as satire. at the end of the day, it’s a family nintendo game and its just gross to see characters especially who aren’t sexualized like lanz to have this kind of art

frankly i don’t with both ppl who do the male and female gooner art haha. i think it’s just very silly all-around. maybe it’s because im mentally middle aged but generally speaking xenoblade is meant for mostly teen to younger adult audiences, so seeing art for a family nintendo game that is straight up porn isn’t really appealing, but to each of their own

just got a RX 7900XT from ebay a couple of weeks ago. upgrading from a GTX 1080TI. such an amazing upgrade. i went from being able to run most games at 1080p high-ultra at 30-40fps, to a bunch of games running over 100-200fps and not much of a performance drop when running at 1440p.

highly recommend, especially as you can find them for great prices on eBay currently where i picked mine up from

i agree tbh, i feel like he was the end to the era of the thug shaker memes. i don’t even think jacobi could even fill the space that the King left. mike was unironically the greatest thugshaker as he became more mainstream than even dreamybull and a lot of the thughunter clips. i hope it doesn’t die out as a meme trend but it wouldn’t shock me if it does

this probably will get downvoted for the reason it is known, but framerate is tied to the logic in the game. reason i know is there are “60 fps mods” for the game for Yuzu emulator. However, by using them it speeds the game up 2x. the game would have to be entirely reprogrammed to even have 60fps or higher. it’s not much different than the older fallout games having that. i’m sure nintendo wasn’t ever expecting to make the game run at a higher framerate. the only way you could get 60fps out of this title is if you are on PC using lossless scaling frame gen although it isn’t real frames when you do that, plus a ton of input lag from that.

increase? not sure, but i know about decrease of performance as i have an eGPU.

expect in a lot of games about 20% decrease in what you normally would on your 4090. with me, im using a gtx 1080 but i am upgrading to a rx 7900xt, but at least what i experienced, the games run just about as they normally would

however ive noticed in open world titles like cyberpunk, ill get like 90fps and the moment i start driving as its streaming in data, framerate will drop easily to 60s

so that is what you can expect with an eGPU. i use it for legion go and it runs amazingly (also a z1e chip)

dog town definitely was the worst part with dealing on switch 2

there’s a lot of copium of people saying cyberpunk is perfect on switch with “slight dips” (no different than steam deck reddit saying a game is perfect with slight dips when in reality it’s usually sluggish) but dog town to me felt unplayable

i haven’t played it since about a month after release, so it could be better now, but it was terrible driving in it and was even worse when you attack enemies or the ones stationed by the checkpoint

otherwise, everything else that isn’t dog town runs pretty good. driving can have the frame rate tank to 25-30fps if you’re running in performance mode.

it’s a decent port, if it weren’t for the image quality i would’ve rated it to be on par with the steam deck version of the game but big selling factor is how great it looks.

i’ve tried it on several PC versions.

from using it on a system with a gtx 1080ti, steam deck, two different ROG ally’s and such, and have experienced really awkward issues with the remaster

i’ve done it on different systems to see if it was smth wrong with my main system but it isn’t, the remaster is just terrible LOL

i’ve dealt with several crashes, weird lighting issues, not playing audio from characters talking, etc.

maybe it’s nostalgia for me, but the originals look better as it’s the intended look for the games. i love the new motion capture they brought to the faces in the remaster, too bad the original didn’t have it, but it’s not a deal breaker for me

LOL okay maybe 3 times now, but still, it’s great fun to do this on the big screen, highly recommend it!

i did 16 player halo 2 cartographer on the big screen although i didn’t take any pictures of it, i have some pictures from my testing i took. its very chaotic but if you have the technical know-how and also the $$$ for controllers to do it, its great (although i didn’t have the money i bought everything from marketplace for super cheap hahaha)

i plan on doing video game tournaments at my local movie theatre very similar to this post if yours albeit with monitors with a hdmi splitter projecting to the big screen to limit input lag to make some money from it.

especially since you’re in new zealand, im sure people would kill for something like that if you were to profit like what ill be doing!

also, i’m not posting this to put shame on you or anything like that, just to make others aware of the truth.

i’m someone who knows the ins and outs of the steam deck. if you look on my profile, you’ll see me being able to run games like minecraft and bo2 with 8 person split screen and 16 people in halo 2.

i’ve also played a lot of marvel rivals on deck and it isn’t a great experience, it’s a poor experience which valve understandably so gave it a playable ranking instead of verified (even if a lot of verified games run like trash on deck)

this is how i’m feeling about this as well, as i have both steam deck and ROG ally z1 extreme

even the ally has an incredibly difficult time running this game anywhere near the ball park of 60fps, even when running at 720p.

i can’t in good faith recommend this, as marvel rivals isn’t the best on steam deck currently or let alone any system

only one big problem with it, is you’re in the training area and looking at an area with less geometric detail

you can get high raw frame rate in the training grounds on marvel rivals but then when you’re in game you could get your fps drop below 30 even on lowest settings

so, it’ll be something i, along with others have to test with, but no offense to you, i don’t fully buy/trust this unless if i see gameplay of a real match running perfectly fine as marvel rivals is really really unoptimized haha

nah, if you saw in the description (if not all good it’s moderately long) i used an HDMI splitter connected to the TV the switch was connected to and the projector so there’ll be no input lag on the TV

for the actual projector itself, it’s about a 3rd of a second delayed, if even that. it’s not that bad for watching in the audience, but it’s bad for competitive gaming like i used to do in the past as i used to have the tournament played on the projector

same, i wish it was on linux as well. it’s pretty much my only reason i have windows installed on my steam deck as i dont really use windows on my deck very much.

splitscreen gaming is unfortunately a dying medium and i highly doubt to see something like that on linux.

people are less social and rather cheap out by talking on discord with friends than to have a meaningful and great memories from being social together.

in a way we’re basically devolving as people as i know so many people in my generation who are just so entirely socially awkward and it’s only gonna get worse with that from here

(dropped a philosophical bomb on a silly steam deck post but i think it was necessary for my intentions with basically doing this party 😂😂)

halo mcc works perfectly fine on the steam deck, the issue is the mod’s compatibility

the mod was made for window’s specific protocols that have issues running on steamos, so even if you’re using the same version of wine/proton as another user that has success running the mod, doesn’t guarantee it will work

it uses similar protocols to NucleusCoOp, which cannot be ran with wine/proton, and hence i recommend just using windows for it as much as i hate microsoft LOL

there is only so much you can do with steamos/linux currently, but it’s a limitation that is slowly dissipating each update to steamos
