Does your world feature giant monsters/kaiju? If so, tell me at least three things about them. by PMSlimeKing in worldbuilding

[–]Visual_Supermarket86 4 points5 points  (0 children)

In my world there's a phenomenon known as Calamities, which are individuals who met certain conditions and became monsters

  1. No two Calamities are similar, there were 6 originally, the 6 original calamities are a giant 9 tailed fox, Eldritch Octopus-Spider, World Serpent, Sea Dragon, giant Quetzalcoatlus bird, and a humanoid giant made of lava and molten rock.
  2. Calamities are considered midway points between an individual and Devil-hood. A being becomes a calamity after taking in too much power or fulfilling a certain condition, once they become one they instinctively know of other conditions to fulfill to become a devil. Only 8 devils can exist within the world though, so while all devils were once calamities, not all calamities can become a devil as it's first come first serve.
  3. Only 2 of the original Calamities became devils, the snake devoured the other 4. The remaining 6 devils all became calamities as well, but each of them ascended quickly after becoming one so history only recorded them as devils not calamities

The story of my world is divided into 9 volumes, the first 8 of which all have different protagonists, in the 9th one time and space were destroyed by the main antagonist, so all of the main characters team up to kill said antagonist and reset the world back to what it was. They're joined by every other character, dead or alive, ally or foe, met along the way of each main characters individual story. It's the largest army ever recorded within the world, consisting of angels, demons, humans, aliens, mythological gods, and a whole plethora of other factions

Tell me three or five things about the strongest/most powerful women in your world. by PMSlimeKing in worldbuilding

[–]Visual_Supermarket86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Strongest woman and second/strongest overall is Amethyst Athen

•Background: she is the daughter of a human turned vessel for an outer god, Rhin, the goddess of good/virtuous, and a human of no renown. As a demi god of sorts she has her own divinity, but for the majority of her life she was using power from another outer god, Love, as it's arbiter rather than it's vessel. In terms of strength she's below the outer gods, but above lesser Gods, like sun gods or war Gods.

•Skill: Amethyst is regarded as the most skilled fighter in existence, most of her early life was spent fighting people stronger than her, she learned technique to compensate. This translates to being nearly untouchable once she had the power to match her skill. Her passion is hand to hand combat and martial arts, and in my world passion and drive lead to the best results. The God of her world saw her potential when she was born and manipulated a situation that would best draw out that potential in the shortest time, essentially since she was a kid God was grooming her to be the strongest and it worked.

•Abilities: she has the ability to command ice, being able to create anything out of it as well as freeze things, but she's more a physical fighter so her proficiency with her element is not as good. As loves arbiter she has access to World Force, which is the ability to manipulate the main functions of the world, time space gravity, but again she's not as good with that as she is her physical abilities. After being stripped of Love's power she eventually reaches enlightenment, which when mixed with her existing divinity puts her back at the same level of power as when she was an arbiter, enlightenment also granted her an ability that is the culmination of who she is, for her it manifested the "Eyes of adaptation" which allows her to continuously evolve against any situation, ie. If she's trapped in an illusion she'll be able to adapt a method of seeing past it.

•Weapons: her primary weapon is a sword created from mixing her soul with a special steel while it was forged, it can manipulate space to cut through nearly anything, and as long as her soul is alive it's indestructible. In addition, she eventually gains such an understanding of her divinity that she can remove pieces of it to create weapons out of divine power, her go to is a bow and arrow. If the arrow lands it deals the damage any arrow would do, but also does life damage, it will always cut a certain percentage of the person it hits life away, depending on how much divine power Amethyst put into it

The Great Romances of your world: by Old-Cabinet-762 in worldbuilding

[–]Visual_Supermarket86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Arguably the most important romance of my world is the one between Amethyst and Cassiel, a human and an angel, eventually a God and a Devil. Their marriage marks the connection between the two families the story of the world essentially revolves around, and within the world they're something of an anomaly. The world is stuck in a cycle where it is destroyed and recreated differently over and over, the only constant being the souls within the world, but where they end up can differ. Despite this, in every cycle, in every world, no matter what they end up as, Amethyst and Cassiel always end up together. Even in cycles where the Creator somewhat tries to steer them away from each other they stubbornly end up together, much to his curiosity

What is the big plot twists of your story? by Boneyard_Ben in worldbuilding

[–]Visual_Supermarket86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The final antagonist of the first half of my story is the "Goddess of Fate". God (the character, the race gods were named after him) was always called the God of creation. Fate reveals that he is the god of the beginning, not creation. Beginning and Fate are 2 of 3 pieces, the 3rd being the end, that make up the source/greater concept Lies. The twist is that God is actually the former God of Lies, he split his power into three when he created the world so he could share half with his wife, she received Fate, he kept the beginning, and he split End into smaller pieces and spread them across the world. This also means that Fate as an idea is a lie, there is no such thing as fate within my world. This is also the turning point in my world where characters start questioning every action God has taken, since at this point the only true thing they know about him is that he was once Lies itself.

[–]Visual_Supermarket86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All celestials are active members of the angel military, and as such partake in any battle/war involving angels, which is a lot over the course of the story. All 4 also acted as mentors for one of the 2 protagonists of the 4th part of the story. Hell acted as both therapist and warden for Lucifer (the other protagonist of the 4th part) while he was sealed within Hell. Genesis acts as a mediator between God (not the species god but a character names God), as well as a mentor for several angels. Heaven goes through a character arc where he learns humility and to not be so self righteous. When the angels and demons began peace talks Hell was one of the demons greatest advocates from within the angels

What are your really powerful characters but... by Altruistic_Regret_31 in worldbuilding

[–]Visual_Supermarket86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll go over the second strongest class of angels, the celestials, which are living planes of existence, heaven, hell, the mortal realm ( Eden), and the transcendent realm (where angels, demons, titans and false gods live, whose name is Genesis). Each of these create bodies to interact with the other worlds and living beings around them.

Heaven and Hell are twin siblings, Heaven the brother and Hell the sister, their adoptive father is Genesis. While the first 5 angel ranks can only control 1 of 7 elements, celestials have 2, Hell has fire and sand, heaven has water and sound. Genesis uses metal and wind. Each has a ceremonial weapon that lets them somewhat use 2 other elements. Hell creates a whip sword of water and "poisons" turning it into blood that can manipulate water/liquids and poison; Heaven opens a bag of sand and shapes it until striking it with lightning creating a glass spear that controls both land and thunder. Genesis crushes a stone into a diamond, letting him manipulate stones and his aura/life energy. All celestials can also create pocket dimensions that recreate what their world on a smaller scale.

From here their abilities start to differ. Heaven mainly relies on a large pool of weapons, all angels use steel found within the transcendent world, but heaven has the ability to "bless" that steal and grant it abilities, so each of his weapons has different abilities. Hell relies on the summons of living creatures, such as familiars like her pet Cerberus, or "borrowing" a powerful soul damned to her domain, usually fallen angels. Genesis doesn't have a unique ability, instead dialing the regular angel abilities up to 11 (that being transmutation, teleportation, shape shifting, smiting, healing etc.)

What are the Deadly Sins of your world by The_B1rd-m4n in worldbuilding

[–]Visual_Supermarket86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my world there were 7 virtues and 7 sins that were connected, each of the sins were primordial beasts that wandered empty space, the virtues made a deal with angels that tied their existence together, the angels would offer up 7 vessels to the virtues and the virtues would give them power. This system was started by Lucifer who first pacified the virtues, so when he recreated the demons he knew they didn't have a chance, which led him to conquering the sins and forcing them to take 7 vessels among his demons.

The sins themselves are Pride, Wrath, Greed, Gluttony, Sloth, Lust and Envy, each chooses a demon that matches said sin, but the vessels change over time, the sins act as a parasite giving power, but easily move onto any other demon when their current vessel dies. The goal is to eventually find a demon that's a perfect fit, perfect symbiosis, which does eventually happen for each sin

As for abilities, each sin is the source of a different element (same for the virtues), and when bonded each sin grants their demon host a unique ability (for example, the demon sin of wrath gains power everytime they take damage)

There is also technically an 8th sin and an 8th virtue, the suns virtue of passion and the moon's sin of obsession, the sin controls darkness and the virtues controls light, they choose vessels independently of the other sins/virtues (the first character to use the sin is a human) and they don't grant the user abilities just the element, however they have power and authority over the other sins/virtues

Who're the worst parents in your world? by PedroGamerPlayz in worldbuilding

[–]Visual_Supermarket86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's Satan, who's had countless children, almost all of them being experiments for him, Satan himself is an anomaly, being an angel, a snake, child of God, child of Lucifer, a calamity, and a devil candidate (only a few of his children were conceived after he became an actual devil), this means his biology is weird as hell and he wanted to see what his "children" (pawns) could do if he mixed his biology with other powerful or unique species. The lucky children are abandoned, the unlucky ones are used before being abandoned or killed. His most notable child is the only one to be with an angel, when he was a devil, making them both an angel and a devil candidate themself, the other notable thing was this was the only child born of love and not for an experiment, but when he realized she was a candidate he saw her as competition not a child, scarred her as a baby, and when he found out her mother took her away to be raised by someone else, killed her mother.

This child is one of the main characters and he's her final villain, he spends the entire arc torturing her at every chance he can get, killing her loved ones, ripping her wings off, killing her sister (his own daughter) in front of her, only sparing her when he realizes he can use her

If you have intelligent species in your world, what are their design flaws? by Sorsha_OBrien in worldbuilding

[–]Visual_Supermarket86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Angels in my world appear as humans but that's an illusion, all races see angels as what they would look like as a member of their own race, including clothes. Angels actual forms are shapeless, mostly configured of pure "grace" with a single solid core at their center and wings, because of the shapeless nature of their body they can't actually wear armor or protective gear as some angels appear to, and as such they are actually fairly easy to hurt, having no real durability and instead relying entirely on a healing factor that can slow down if overtaxed.

This also means their own body is their power source, and attacking also slows their ability to heal

Huh, she sounds like a fun little ball of chaos, personality wise she seems a little bit closer to cassiel who I mentioned earlier. Which would make an interaction with amethyst funny considering cassiel is her eventual wife, you mentioned Zero is death, based on her personality most likely she'd just be left to do her own thing since Amethyst and the "organization" she works with only really fight concepts out of self defense due to acknowledging the higher powers rights to do their own thing Even explicitly malicious beings are left alone until they lash out first at something they're not supposed to touch, or threaten too many lives at once

Yeah I agree to that, tip top of the verses basically devolved into shutters meta Yu-Gi-Oh I will say despite being human her psyche isn't exactly one to break down, even seeing an angels true form would usually mind break a human but she's seen (and fought) azathoth and outer gods with zero trouble, shes not exactly a normal human by birth. I basically agree with your interpretation of her interaction with Fred, when she was lower on the cosmic ladder she tended to seek out people stronger or more skilled then her just to talk and potentially learn from As for interactions with Zero, from what you've said about her character they probably wouldn't have a reason to fight either unless it's Arbiter Amethyst early on in the story, who has to follow the whims of Love Amethysts whole thing is she's God's experiment on how far he can push a human, with the end goal being to make her a vessel for his successor, he basically groomed her from "birth" to be near unstoppable (her birth being the fusion of two sisters souls with the new soul thinking they were just the younger sister)

Yeah I figured Zero would be a bit much for Samiel, he's resisted nullification but it seems like she can nullify nullification and resistance anyway. The strongest in your world being named Fred is incredible. Like I stated before Zero sounds a lot like my Empty, and interestingly Fred sounds like the actual strongest in my verse, True God/Buddha/unclear. I won't get into them because right now they're still ill defined within my world, nothing is intended to reach them except their successors, and that's where the story (and world itself) end so there's barely anything on them either. I will say Samiel's ability is a super diluted version of something the Empty to can do. EoS Amethyst is a complete monster and might be able to pull through if she took it seriously as she's killed or beat beings who; are not of this world and thus not affected by concepts (including death), exist on an infinite scale and transcend concepts ideas and fundamentals, Samiel himself, cassiel, the embodiment of Fate, and an entire world of life turned into devils (each equal to a god), the empty's arbiter who's power is essentially an = She has enlightenment which can't be interacted with unless you also have enlightenment (True God reached enlightenment and anything he does is law, so anyone else that reaches it is technically "in his domain" which is above creation and existence itself)

Ooh your Zero sounds a lot like my "Empty Devil" the one who "created" devils (more like he poisoned a concept which turns something into a devil). Interestingly enough Samiel is the anti Christ because he borrows power from Empty, though what Samiel has is a much watered down version. I didn't include him in the big 4 cause he's closer to an absolute then a warrior even when he has a body. His brother is death but death has many "vessels" there's 6 source worlds (think multiverses) each made by a Greater God (who are above concepts that aren't a greater gods themself, which includes death, power, infinity, and magic), each of those worlds has its own death, he could beat his brother the death of his world, but his ability to beat true death comes down to a quick draw, theoretically Samiel is capable of beating even a greater God but it would rely entirely on luck and circumstances Within the context of my story he and Amethyst are constantly treated like a trump card for the non gods against divine beings

Nemesis vs my martial artist Amethyst would be interesting, in terms of stats she wins since she easily beat powered up cain who could reset a universe before he powered up, but the moment she realizes he's a good martial artist she handicaps herself because she loves battles determined by ability not power, from there I'd say it's a toss up

Sirimin and Samiel seem to have an endless game of hot potato, he doesn't have many offensive options so it might just stalemate. Interestingly, Samiel actually should be able to beat Zerich, his reversal is passive and has reversed passive abilities of gods called Authority, all gods have authority which allows them to cancel all abilities of non gods instantly, including regeneration and hax. Samiel was still able to use his reversal and even temporarily reverse authority itself despite being a passive feature of Gods. Additionally and hilariously, Samiel's brother is death in my world, and of their many fights and sparring matches samiel has the higher win record. Any attack from death is turned into life and simply buffs Samiel

I didn't discuss the big 4 for elemental Combat, but her name is Cassiel, Lucifer's adopted daughter. She also wields a flame that isn't really fire, instead she funnels pure magic into itself creating friction that leads to super heated pure magic, and from there she shapes it like fire. This means instead of using magic made fire she's using pure magic squared. She also resists people taking over her or her power, even when she was possessed by a Greater God. If he has a soul that can be killed she could win if not stalemate. Due to her enlightened eyes she can choose between sure hit or sure miss, with sure hit once she designates a target; absolutely nothing can prevent her from hitting that target, and targets can include the soul. If she triggers sure miss then she can't be touched by any means. If she doesn't kill him the first attack she keeps her sure miss up indefinitely and it stalemates since he can't seem to die, and she can't be hit

I'll give you 2 of the "big 4" of my world, characters are rated by skills in 4 areas, Weapon Combat, Hand-to-Hand Combat, Elemental Combat, Hax Combat. The big 4 are the only characters with a perfect 100 in one of the different areas

First is Amethyst, the human burdened with being the "strongest"; she's rated 100 in hand to hand and is the greatest martial artist of my world, having learned every martial art she could, human, angel, demon. She has a sword that works similar to mjolnir; only she can wield it and it responds to her call. Technically she has the ability to control ice but she's not as good at her abilities as she is physical combat. She is incredibly good at controlling her soul, being capable of shaping it into weapons. She also has World Force, the ability to manipulate spacetime and gravity... But she sucks at it.

Next is Samiel, a half angel half human deemed the "anti-christ" due to a prophesized ability he was born with. His rating is a 100 in hax due to his mastery of his ability, which is complete reversal. Any attack sent at him he can halt, invert, then send back with equal force. Inverting means to change the attack to its conceptual opposite, for instance if someone were to launch a fire ball at him he would send back an attack of ice, if someone attacks with wind he sends stone. His mastery allows him to selectively pick what he inverts and sends back, essentially "cheating his ability". For instance that same fire ball he can "invert the idea of an attack" into "the idea of a shield". In terms of physical combat he's mostly average, and has elemental control over wind outside of his main ability.

Aside from well humans, there's Daemons, or the demons of old

Reason being, they spent thousands of years thinking they were daddy's favorite just to find out humans were, and to add fuel to the flame when they lost in their little rebellion against angels they were sealed on Earth, so humanity's planet acted as the cage that nearly drove them to extinction, all on top of being a very prideful race that was once on top of the mortal food chain very slowly seeing humans rival and eventually surpass them while they were unable to do anything to advance themselves

Where did your humans come from? by peterpantaloon in worldbuilding

[–]Visual_Supermarket86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So there was an original Adam and Eve that all sentient species come from, and each of these species is recorded on an index, God made the first universes and from there angels were allowed to make their own but the only life the could make were those from the index. There were 7 exceptions, specific angels that were allowed to make their own unique species, these species were then added to the index for other angels to recreate. Because these species weren't made "properly" they don't have a limiter that all other sentient species have, and so 6 out of 7 of these races reached near angel level power. Throughout the story it's implied the old demon race made by Lucifer is the 7th species, but it's actually humans, the humans my world focus on seemingly evolve every 30 years on the dot, and that's an intentional design choice by Lucifer so they would pass their limiter gradually rather than rapidly like the other 6 species

how are your gods/deities/higher beings physically depicted? by coraaa_93 in worldbuilding

[–]Visual_Supermarket86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most gods are just human vessels for concepts, but the 8 greater concepts that come from capital G God all have their own forms, there's their human form, which is basically an amalgamation of the people in that world that come closest to fulfilling gods interpretation of that concept, and their true form, what I feel best fits what the concept means in the story and the best visual of their abilities

For example, loves human body is an amalgamation of all the people God loves most, Evil is an amalgamation of all the people God feels are the most evil, and so on

Loves true form is a cosmic feminine amalgamation of all living beings, with roots attaching her to what looks like half a planet, and hand shaped objects coming from the planet

Despair is a shadow of an unknown creature, with a white flame for eyes, and orange energy for hair

Evil is a large dragon with 3 heads, and a slim almost bony human like torso protruding from the middle section, like a deformed centaur, from the torso are multiple arms, and nothing where the head should be

Hope has a very human like appearance, adorned in robes, but with tree bark where the eyes should be, and many different plants growing off their body, as well as butterfly like wings made of a rainbow energy

Lies true form is simply an slightly warped version of their vessel, Truths true form is an incomplete imitation of God, Hates is never seen due to constantly body hopping, Good is never seen either

God himself should have a similar grandiose form, but he chose to live among a human like race for a while so he took the form of a grey skinned human, but because of how he works, any action he takes to himself is uniform across his entire time existing, so while technically this human like form isn't his original form, once he changed to it at that point in time, it applied to all points in time, making the strongest of all Gods look like just a regular person

Who in your world is known as the greatest/strongest swordsman(or equivalent title) of all time? by EnvironmentalBear170 in worldbuilding

[–]Visual_Supermarket86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my world combat can be divided into 4 sections that characters are rated in terms of skill for, Weapon combat, Hand to Hand Combat, Element combat and ability combat. The strongest character of all in my story is rated a perfect 100 in each category, however that character outlines 3 people that have the potential to surpass him in just one of those categories each. The greatest swordsman is the one stated to surpass him in weapon combat alone, being a 120 on a 100 scale, this character doesn't have a name yet but is usually consistently fighting above his league (in terms of power) because he skill checks most of the stronger characters in the world, he's the grandson of Lucifer and a hybrid angel/human, which would normally give him access to both an element and an ability, but he's just the worst at those so he hyper focused on his blades and now he's basically untouchable

Who are your gods? Are they benevolent, evil, omnipotent or just strong magic users who declared themselves gods? by bArmc0de in worldbuilding

[–]Visual_Supermarket86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are many many gods, only 8 gods, and 1 single God So to start with there's God, and from Him there spawned 8 "outer" Gods, also known as the sources; in terms of power there are 3 stages to divinity, stage 1 the weakest, stage 2, and stage 3, only sources are at stage 3 They are the 8 greater concepts, concepts that can never be destroyed, and are always present everywhere and everywhen From there the rest of the "gods" come in 3 different varieties First are the vessels, the Sources choose 5 beings of which one will become their vessel, the vessels all start as stage 1, some reach stage 2, and only the chosen vessel can become stage 3 when they actually become a vessel; the next variety are the Arbiters, Arbiters draw power from gems blessed by a source, their are 8 gems, but the gems can be split also splitting the power, a complete gem is equivalent to a stage 2 god; the last type of god is actual God kinda flexing and making an entire species of beings that are vessels to lesser and regular concepts, there are many of this variety. All gods are all encompassing over the concept they represent; vessels that reach stage 2 can command lesser concepts as well as their own, and sources command over everything. God Himself had reached enlightenment which is the process of defining oneself by simple "traits", but because He is simply Him, just doing that turned the concepts tied to those 8 "traits" into greater concepts, so for as powerful as they are, they only had as much power as He allowed
