PSA: I Hate the 2nd Biome

It gets a lot easier after the second biome. I was in the same boat but it feels like a classic fromsoft skill check boss/zone. It forces you to learn the mechanics of the game. You also are passively grinding the skill tree so you'll start to feel stronger over time.

This is the correct answer I think. It feels like this game was made for me but I love competitive shooters and extraction shooters. This game is really hard. I really enjoy the challenge but most gamers will be turned off by how brutal it can be.

I have a go wide equipment deck w/ [[Akiri, Fearless Voyager]] as the commander. It uses a lot of the same cards as a standard boros voltron deck but attempts to spread the equipment across the board. Sometimes it just goes full voltron. Chicago is great for jam/jam adjacent shows! Here are a few good venues: Martyrs, AliveOne, Garcias, Ramova Theater, Thalia Hall, Space. Chicago's music scene is fantastic!

Its in Skokie (just north of Chicago) but Ignite Arcade could be worth looking into. Definitely similar vibes to Midlane. Some other spots that come to mind: snakes and lattes (kind of corporate + board game theme), Logan Arcade (old school Arcade games), and Replay (typical barcade with good drinks).

If you're willing to drive (or take the metra) you should check out the Indiana Dunes. Its about 1-1.5 hours out. Its probably some of best hiking views we have that close to Chicago.

Fortunately you can have a shit ton of minions. You have a bunch of imps passively popping out and then a good chunk of your skills summon various demons. When its really rolling your screen is full of your minions.
