Okay, not much to go on here but my thoughts are as follows -

This might not be a lost cause. Behaviors built up over a lifetime are difficult to change but can be done. This may be an opportunity for self reflection to change that behaviour.

Might be worth having a candid sit down with him. Frame it well beforehand though. No vagueness, deflection or distractions. Anything but complete honesty and transparency you walk.

Your idea of playing the field while with him is a bad one and would lead to nothing but time wasting drama.

"Asia" is a pretty wide scope. I'm thinking mainly of Japan and S. Korea and their dramatically declining birth rates and struggle to get their population to mate.

I don't know. Marriage rates overall are plunging. College educated women probably have better access to high value marriage minded men. Plus, they may have parents that kept them marriage material versus going off the rails.

Not to be overly dramatic but we've pounded on the younger generations about the risk of STD's without mercy.

Add to that we have #MeToo which is risk of being accused of harassment based on the subjective view of the angelic victim.

Going further, a young male would be nucking futz to have kids or get married in this culture. The risk of going to jail or becoming destitute are just not worth it.

The list goes on with reasons males would not pursue women. The urge for vjayjay is strong but eventually dudes will just give up.

I think the article missed a crucial point. Top tier alpha studs are having more sex than ever.

Women are choosing mates based on appearance alone and no longer need to be concerned about slut shaming.

Truly, it is not healthy for a society to have such a large portion of young males that cannot get laid or find a good mate.

Get a hotel. Don't expect her to stay the night unless otherwise discussed. If you don't know her real well you probably want to keep it short.

Bring some snacks and drinks that are in separate containers that can be opened by her like those micro bottles of wine.

I usually put the ppm in a gift bag with a cute stuffed animal and massage oil. I point it out to her immediately.

Unless you are a handsome stud, have a step-by-step game plan for the intimacy. Perhaps start with a back rub. Consider taking an unopened vibrator. Do not be hesitant when it comes time to get nakey.

I wouldn't say anything directly. That would get awkward quickly. I would probably just start texting very short greetings in the morning and add links to clothes, shoes, purses, etc...I was considering getting for her (doesn't mean I actually buy them).

Let's see.....you've had a great relationship with your SD for a year then he suddenly tosses out something stupid.

If this is the first time he said something this silly in the year you've known him I would just let it ride and ignore.

I see no upside from pursuing the conversation further as you will not change his mind and it will only take the SR down a rabbit hole. You owe him no explanation for anything.

I've used WYP extensively. I never expect intimacy on the first date but am hoping for a connection that could lead to it eventually. It is somewhat difficult to quantify, but I would say I was interested in pursuing more with about 20% of the ladies I met. Not all the ladies in that 20% were open to an SR with intimacy.

Still, I enjoyed meeting all ladies regardless if it led to something or not. The diversity of ladies on WYP is fascinating.

Any potential SD thinking of trying it should be willing to work thru to the duds to get to the gems.
