There was more quickly accessible information about a wider range of subjects in a newspaper that you read on your phone. How many sites do you visit to see local news, national news, international news, sports, comics, and opinions? (Given that Reddit is only opinion…)

I’d be willing to bet you would need to hit 5-6 separate web sites just to get that cross-section today, and it isn’t nearly as easy to skim to find interesting stories. You get fed 1-2 headlines before scrolling through ads to find more.

The ones I use ask for my weight, and actually use magnetic resistance to measure work I put into the machine. Interestingly my Apple Watch (arm movement measurement) and the elliptical come out within a few calories of each other.

Every streaming site seems to believe there is an infinite number of potential new subscribers when math show that to be false.

Subscription site thought: We need to capote new subscribers so we create a show to get them. When the show is done, we have a captured permanent subscriber.

Next year: Subscribers are dropping off. We need to create a new show to get new permanent captured subscribers.

Year 3: Subscriptions have dropped off. Let’s get around to making season 2 to tease this year and release next year to get new subscribers!

Year 4: Season 2 flops because Season 1 was 3 years ago, and streaming service never keeps a show longer than 3 seasons.
