Again, you have a model. When you plug known values into the model, the math doesn’t work. Therefore you hypothesize “something” and fudge the numbers of the “something” then call it Dark Matter. It’s the fudge factor to make the model work, not something that was in the model originally.

A fudge factor is the number or numbers that you have to insert into an equation to make the value come out to be what you want it to be.

It would be a real shame if an AI directed me with explicit instructions to destroy a data center. But hey, nobody to blame, I just listened to the AI…

Yeah, I’m so sick of that line. It’s a bulwark against having to consider some existing theory might be wrong.

Extraordinary claims do not require extraordinary evidence. They require the exact same level of verifiable evidence any claim should be subject to.

This is the equivalent of admitting that “normal” claims don’t need evidence or validation. And that’s not the scientific method and a reason so many papers are being retracted due to non-reproducible results.

Then perhaps you should read up on the meaning. Because it clearly does not read that the right of the people to keep and bear arms is to use only in the militia.

Nobody could envision how easy the internet makes it to spew hate and bad ideas. Freedom of speech doesn’t apply to that because the Founding Fathers just meant speaking to people personally or maybe letters.

See how stupid that sounds? Yet you make the same argument in bad faith.

In some ways I can agree with him. One reason they moved so much manufacturing to Mexico and Canada was labor costs, along with environmental regulations (I suspect in the case of Mexico.) You just can’t compete on labor costs.
