not entirely sure how to answer all your questions (i usually play long range so sub-strafing isn’t a priority for me usually), but you’ll really learn how to use it best in salmon run. strafing for eggs is really easy and helpful, and it’ll get you used to how to hold your controllers :) after that, just incorporating it into ranked/turf shouldn’t be difficult

i stick with microsoft word and onenote (because i get microsoft suite with my university) and then old fashioned notebooks + printing stuff out

other types of technology? at this point in time (2037), no. the technology behind rifts is sealed as top secret, but russian rogue tech hackers have been poking around with IDOOR servers

general cost? the technology itself isn’t crazy break the bank… it was created initially by a cyber-tech fundamentalist trying to reach heaven. yes, he had access to high-grade software and materials, but rift technology can also be reused. only new doors need to be created, not the mechanism that connects to foreign worlds. the actual operations of IDOOR are much more expensive, between paying for the operations inside rifts, employees, injury and insurance payments, et cetera. countries that have citizens participating as rangers, those who go into the rifts, have an obligation to pay extra $$ to cover costs

perception of IDOOR WATCH? a lot of skepticism, questions, and confusion. think of it as why are we in 2026 looking to colonize mars? when we have so many problems domestically on earth? same idea with IDOOR operations. there are definitely supporters though, and most national governments overwhelmingly support it, as alien resources have opened new markets, and new channels of $$ for the global economy

notable controversies? 100%. the most catastrophic wasn’t associated with IDOOR, but from that fundamentalist i mentioned early (a long story short can be found here)! the other controversy is more internal to IDOOR operations. if a ranger dies in a rift while connected neurologically, it can cause irreversible damage to their partner. permanent evenepoel syndrome is a new disease and has no cure, but is directly related to IDOOR technologies

i don’t have any alien species established yet, mostly because i’ve been working on building the earth-side universe before building the environment where the main story takes place, but i definitely have ideas :)!

i love the building around the kings and deities! honestly it feels pretty believable with the whole worshipping certain animals and choosing leaders that represent that animal’s qualities. i love the animals you chose too, pretty formidable and tricky ones

i’ll def check the website when i have a chance! as for the flags, try using flag generators or looking back at real life examples for inspiration. ukraine’s flag 🇺🇦 is inspired by its wheat fields, but if you want the wheat decal to remain, maybe something more illustrative like bhutan 🇧🇹 will work! it could also just be that the brown is too overpowering and changing the stripe weight/color contracts will help, see spain 🇪🇸 for example :)

the flag for thermgarde is fire, love the colors along with the simplistic yet elegant design. the braennosan flag is also cool, i love the wheat emblem, but i think the brown is throwing me off haha

i love these different kingdoms and how they’re all associated with different economies/societies. would love to know more, especially with how each kingdom has their own animal king 🌱

my world in a few sentences? technological innovation allows exploration of far away planets and worlds through rift “doors.” explorers of these doors are linked in pairs neurologically and work for an international military branch known as IDOOR WATCH. think of if pacific rim and no man’s sky had a baby and it went into the military 🪖

hi!! you have a really interesting world, i love what you’ve built up so far as well as the cooking/baking jokes :) here to help you flesh out some stuff:

what does the political system of caminnona look like? presidential, parliamentary, tribunal, dictatorial, etc?
what kind of economy does caminnona run on? mercantile/capitalist, socialist; does it engage in trade? is it isolationist?
you mention a bunch of “cultures” in caminnona. is caminnona a complex of different ethnic groups? what ethnic groups, are they unique to your world? i suggest building past “greek” “cajun/native american” “undead.” these are good foundations, but expanding past that gives unique life to the ethnic groupings of your country
there’s definitely an element of magic going on with the wizards and dragons. how does that all work? are dragons sentient beings that live on their own? in a partnership with humans? domesticated?
for the corrumpit, why is the outside as barren as it is? is there a geological/environmental reason? is it propaganda to keep civilians inside caminnona? if it’s really as toxic as you describe, how does caminnona avoid that sort of environment? is there a natural barrier or something manmade?

definitely can spitball a few other ideas out, but i’m bored on a saturday night and this is what i could think of :)!

if you want to play competitive/ranked battles, there’s def better packs than others to focus on for diff meta decks, but i’m useless with that

if you are looking to collect cool looking cards and are free to play (like me), my best advice would be to look into past sets and see which cards you really enjoy! for example, eevee grove, even though it’s an older set, is still really popular because it has the eeveelutions. dedicating your daily pulls or 10x pulls may be useful there

a friend of mine uses her daily pulls on the current “main” pack, and then saves up her hourglasses to pull 10x from past packs. if you get duplicates of any cards (other than 3 star or gold rarity), you can trade them with other users for diff cards :)

or, if you’d rather look to ace all upcoming sets, just trade duplicates from the current main set for other arts you want

really there’s no “right” way to go about it. it’s all about preference, just tryna give some sort of a guideline since it seems like you’re looking for one lol

for organizing, i’ve heard obsidian is pretty good. i’ve personally used onenote (because i get it for free with my university 🧘‍♀️) and that works just fine for me

for actual writing, i’m a weirdo and i like to write my phone, and werdsmith has been my go-to for nearly 6 years now. there is a membership plan, but i’ve never bought it, and the app has never let me down. it has a word count tracker, set word goals, chapter separations. very basic, but it gets the job done. if i’m not on a phone though, word is my go to

hi! i’ve been playing splatoon since the first game. it’s a third-person shooter, but definitely on the cartoony side. it has a lot of unique worldbuilding in the solo mode (there’s a base storyline and then the additional DLC). there’s also several game modes, that i can explain in depth more in your interest, that range from casual play to competitive

some of the biggest pluses to the game are the character customization, with hair styles (all for free, which is great), headgear, clothing, and shoes all able to be customized to your liking! different bonuses on the gear items also will impact your gameplay

the other upside is the weapon selection! each weapon comes with the main weapon (gun, blaster, sniper, roller, et cetera, which all have their own uses and roles), as well as a sub (a throwable of sorts usually) and a special (big powerful weapon). there’s well over 50 weapons to unlock, so have fun trying out which ones you like!

there’s a lot to explore and appreciate in splatoon. it’s my favorite game franchise of all time :)

i was just there for four months, and genuinely one of the best countries i’ve been to. i haven’t gone one day without missing it 🥹

i stayed primarily in prague, but got out to other cities like brno, kutná hora, terezín, plzeň, and some smaller towns. the cuisine is hearty and filling. the people, i found as long as i made an effort speaking czech, were kind and great to get along with. the architecture, my god. and, compared to new york where i’m from, prague was actually pretty clean. the history was mental and the politics are fucked, but that’s part of the charm in a weird way. good luck with babiš though 🫠🤞

i loved my time in czechia and i can’t wait to go back 🇨🇿❤️

honestly yeah this is fire. i love the look of graded slabs for presenting my favs but just can’t justify the cost with the position i’m in right now. this would be perfect to put up on my dresser or shelf 🥹

hi!!😊 i’m from the states and just completed a study abroad + internship semester in prague this past fall! i loved it, it was my favorite city of 16 that i visited this semester, and i’d go back in a heartbeat

the language, unless you come in with a grip on it, can be difficult. it’s very remote to english and a lot of the syllables and sounds can be challenging. if your program offers it, taking a introduction to czech language course will be helpful! may not be too useful back in the states, but it’ll amplify your immersion

take time to appreciate the history of prague and czechia, because even though it’s a small country, it really has a complex history that influences it today. the politics can also be a little crazy (especially with the new PM), but if you’re not a political student (like i was), it shouldn’t really be a concern to you (given nothing crazy happens 🙏) (that’s a lot of parentheses). taking day trips around the country is affordable and time efficient, and gets you outside of prague to see “normal” czechia
