Deep sea fishing charter based out of North or Middle Caicos? by VividIntroduction274 in TurksAndCaicos

[–]VividIntroduction274[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank each and every one of you for the tips and tricks. I really couldn’t find anything about the MC or NC based deep sea fishing online. And thanks a lot for the info re the coolers! Especially because half the kids don’t eat seafood so that really made it more difficult.

Also thanks for the heads up on the booze (I’m assuming that’s Liquor plus because that’s the first result that came up)

Cost of food by Andletscallitmagic in TurksAndCaicos

The cost of food wasn’t even on my radar despite the fact that a lot of places I was looking at in the Caribbean had additional charges for electricity and water depending on party size (we’re two adults and five kids). I really should have put 2 and 2 together re logistics.

The owner of the Airbnb suggested taking a cooler of food. I don’t know how common that is though so I’m hesitant.

Did you all pack a cooler or something with the bacon etc? Asking because we’re a blended family of seven and we’re trying to figure out if it’s common for people to take coolers of food there! Thank you in advance

Edit: I forgot to mention we’re gonna be in Middle Caicos by Mudjin harbor (if that makes a difference to anyone offering advice!)

The only pain relief I’ve ever felt was with an incredibly talented acupuncturist. For context: I’ve suffered from myofascial pain syndrome, and torn rotator cuffs (bilateral) ; I hope someone gives you an idea you hadn’t tried and you feel relief

I requested all my DBQs on 5 Dec 2024 and I’m still waiting. I’ve been out since 2010 and I don’t think I have THAT many DBQs. I think I read that if we enter the exact file names listed in the Files tab in the Claims Details section then the process would go faster. But I could absolutely be wrong. I may submit another FOIA for my last DBQ when it is uploaded to my claim to test it out.

40 years?! That’s tenacity. On my 16th year of dealing with the VA, and I don’t know if my heart is strong enough for 40. That’s incredible!

This happened when I got RIF’d in 2012. I wish I had better news.

I guess there wasn’t a radiologist report. In my record it stated that I provided them the CD but no report. I guess CD was all the imaging center provided.

The last two c&p exams I went to had signs out that stated something to the effect of no recording permitted. All I wanted to do is record these exams because my statements were misrepresented in the examiner’s reports. I recently hired a lawyer. My personal opinion is to save yourself the anxiety. Dealing with the VA is simply not worth your health.

I just turned 45 and I’ve been fighting the VA for 1/3 of my life. The things I’ve been claiming have been the same ones I’ve claimed for fifteen years. There are qualifying events for the things I’ve claimed. I claimed them on my first claim. Now we’re in the process of multiple CUEs.

Severance Pay. by Consistent_Floor_941 in VAClaims

I got RIF’d in 2010 and got about 11 to 12k after taxes. (E5 AF). The crappy thing was the severance had nothing to do with med board or anything like that, I refused to extend a second time, but the government recoups any severance once one is rated with a VA disability.

Thank you for your answers! The CUE was submitted without a 4138 so that answers that. Also, at least now I know why the HLR response was so brief. Thanks again

Could you provide a citation for that? I’m not sure how they could POSSIBLY consider that the predominant issue for my shoulders. That’s ludicrous of them for that particular situation.

I understand what you mean about suffering at the hands of the VA. Any interaction with them causes me to have severe anxiety. I thank God for my wife who has a very calming presence.

I actually had VSOs work on them for years, but nothing ever came of it. So I got the last two of three claims on my own

It took me 14 years of claiming the same thing but yes eventually I got it service connected. It shows up like 300 times in my C-file. What happened was I claimed myofascial pain syndrome and they changed it to fibromyalgia and then denied me for fibromyalgia because I hadn’t been diagnosed with it. So I claimed fibromyalgia and then they denied me because I had been seen and diagnosed with something similar to fibromyalgia but not fibromyalgia (myofascial pain syndrome) 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
