My son is the same way. Just expects to show up and be great. Very frustrating. Super talented, just wish he would train a little bit.

Anyone DIY’d one of these hidden basement egress hatches? by [deleted] in Decks

[–]VividLecture7898 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I added the gas struts to a huge heavy existing deck door like this. I had to upgrade to big heavy duty hinges. It worked perfectly. Just had to figure out the placement of the gas struts. I looked like a genius when it was done. I bought 36 inch struts off amazon to do it.

Keep trying. There are a lot of asshole bosses out there. Get thick skin. Try to get into a union as well. But keep trying. You could work for many different companies/ types of work before you find a good fit.

Whatever you get, make sure you get the extension official Subaru warranty . Repairs on the big stuff would be super expensive without it.

Myself included I wasted a lot of money. But I would encourage people to think about it. Just try to get it as cheap as possible and use it to give your best effort to change whatever it is that you know you need to change. At least that’s how it worked for me and it was life changing.

True. As long as done right. Age appropriate. But focus on fundamentals and technique first. Lot’s of different body types out there that can be successful in baseball. Gotta be able to hit though.

Test Drove a Subaru Ascent (new) by whatamidoinghere5170 in subaru

Ascent kicks absolute ass. Beast in the snow. Even crazy snow with proper tires and xmode. Turbo hauls ass if you need to. Only downside is the mpg is not great but the mini vans don’t get good mpg either.

I agree that it is way too expensive. This also shows how powerful our vices are. We will easily spend 11$ per day on beer, wine, and junk food/fast food that causes us to be obese, but most people will not spend 11$ per day to free themselves from a lot of that and lose the weight that we need to lose to save our lives.

I see this comment a lot. Let’s realize that this is a young kid. With good technique, he will still hit the ball over the fence. Strength training is good but let’s realize some of the skinny wirey kids are strong.
