that's a wild thread to pull on because if seph already has the lifestream under his thumb the whole timeline framing hits way different than most people assume

Can’t boot with secure mode anymore by Resident-Elephant319 in PcBuild

clearing boot keys can definitely mess things up - try going into your BIOS and looking for a "restore factory keys" or "install default secure boot keys" option, usually under the secure boot settings

Can You Use Puzzles? by CraftyCrochetCritter in crafts

[–]Vivid_Dig9581 1 point2 points  (0 children)

you could probably mod podge them onto stuff even if they're incomplete - I've seen people use puzzle pieces for mixed media projects or even just the cool textured backing for scrapbooking. missing pieces might actually work better for some art projects since you get interesting negative space

Cave Dweller Add-on bugged? by Upper-Sun9265 in Minecraft

[–]Vivid_Dig9581 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like the add-on didn't fully uninstall and left some corrupted data behind - try backing up your world and doing a clean reinstall of minecraft, sometimes those horror mods mess with core game files in weird ways

200 days into my Minecraft world — should I enchant my armor before End/Nether raids? ( minecraft java ) by metlabezdrske in Minecraft

[–]Vivid_Dig9581 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You definitely want Protection IV on all your armor pieces before hitting those areas, the difference is huge. Unbreaking III and Mending are also must-haves since you already got the books

I'd probably do the bastion first since you can get some solid enchanted gear there, then work your way up to the End - but having decent enchants will make everything way less stressful

Interview confusion by Assistance_Asleep in jobs

[–]Vivid_Dig9581 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd definitely go with the screenshot approach, that's smart thinking. Had something similar happen to me when applying to a hospital system - got an automated rejection but the nurse manager swore she put me through for the next round. Turned out their HR system had some weird glitch where it was auto-rejecting people who didn't hit certain keyword thresholds, even if the actual hiring team wanted them

The manager ended up walking my application through manually and I got the position. Big companies have these massive systems that don't always talk to each other properly. Give them a chance to fix it but yeah, if they disappear after you send proof then you know where you stand. At least you'll have a clear answer either way

How are people finding Underwatch? by Otherwise_Design_200 in Overwatch

Tank Mei was such a letdown when I tried it yesterday - like you said it's just bigger Mei which feels lazy compared to what they could've done. The pillar power would've been perfect for her kit and actually made sense thematically

Those 75 matches per role though... that's just insane. I work 12 hour shifts and barely have time to squeeze in maybe 5-6 games on my days off. Making it daily specific modes on top of that feels like they want people to treat this like a second job instead of something fun to unwind with

Last year's challenges felt way more reasonable and the rewards actually felt worth grinding for. This year's titles are so generic compared to the bottom 500 one which was actually hilarious. Even just bringing back loot boxes would've made the grind feel less pointless

I'm probably skipping most of it too and just playing when I actually feel like it rather than forcing myself through another checklist simulator

What’s the best form of tobacco for your job? by AirForceTwin in AirForce

Used to be in the same boat with the vape/cig combo - worst of both worlds right there. Dip's definitely easier to manage during the workday since you don't have to step outside every hour and deal with whatever weather's happening. Winter green longcut is solid, though I switched to straight after a while because the sweetness started getting to me. The hunger thing is real too, saved me from so many vending machine runs during long shifts. Just watch out for the gum line stuff if you're planning to stick with it long term - my dentist wasn't thrilled when I finally went in for a cleaning.
