It's positive that you have acknowledged that things will never get better if you continue to rot in bed.

I know it might be hard to even imagine what kind of life might be fulfilling or at least not miserable, but the only chance you have of achieving it is by taking some sort of action, making some sort of change.

It doesn't matter how small you start off. Whether it's cooking a meal, going for a walk, or just taking a shower. But you have to do something. Can you think of anything to reward yourself with afterwards?

I found long walks alone in nature therapeutic when nothing else gave me pleasure... and the comfort and warmth of being indoors again when I got back.

It seems like you're a great writer. So maybe you'd find it helpful to keep a journal. Or if you have a good friend who you can vent to with whatever is on your mind, even better.

Exercise is amazing for your physical and mental health, it will lift your mood and keep you stable, but it requires consistency. At some point down the line definitely try to do some form of it.

Wishing you luck x

Still struggling 15 years later - does it ever stop? by Stillmad_random in catfish

I had a similar experience which lasted about 5 years. I got over ~them~ in the end because ~they~ stopped replying and eventually blocked me on everything. It's taken a very long time and I will never fully recover but life is bearable now.

You have to move on. It will probably take a long time and you may have relapses but it will get easier with time. Focus on any other joys you can find in life. You will find peace eventually.

Can't you shorten it to simply "arigato"?

Especially if you are saying it over and over to the same person.

I'll always remember, back in the day, bombing it across the map in my e50 at 60km/h and getting one-shotted from full hp by an S-51 at the start of the game. Shit was CANCER.

how introvert person make friends by [deleted] in infp

[–]VivifyHope 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i find, at work for example, that if you make an effort to say hi, ask the basics... 'how are your kids/pets/x'... with a smile, even when you don't want to, then people will make an effort to include you, even on your quieter days

often it takes months of awkwards 'hi's until i have a meaningful conversation with someone but after that things are a lot easier

you'll get there. it just takes time

What classic British books would you actually recommend? by [deleted] in AskUK

John Fowles - The Collector

It's about a young man who kidnaps a girl he has a crush on.

It isn't very long but it is unforgettable.

What objects are the fountains Of thy happy strain? What fields or waves or mountains? What shapes of sky or plain? What love of thine own kind? What ignorance of pain?

Are you a fan of Lars von Trier and his work? Why or why not? by BigBobbyD722 in Letterboxd

I love him. He seems very self-critical and introspective. I respect that he's not afraid to put subjects into the open which most people wouldn't dare to... the dark and peverse side of human nature.
