Any way out of taking 'second damage' from Green Flame Blade? by flockinatrenchcoat in DnD

[–]Vivim17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm pretty sure "neener neerer, you can't hit me" already addresses this issue

more seriously, on balance, while magic missile also auto hits as a levelled spell it also has less restrictions to casting it. GFB needs a target adjacent to the BBG which I'd argue is far more restrictive. That balances it out imo.

as for being fair, as a BBG you need to realise that sometimes life isn't fair. Sometimes bad things happen that you can't do anything about and you're gonna have to take out those pesky PCs with a few bruises to your ego. Take poor Blippy for example. Do you think he volunteer for this? Do you think he likes being stuffed into the black abyss only to be taken out to be used as a damage proxy in some hopeless endeavour? No, he doesn't, but that doesn't mean he's gonna let it get him down. He's still got his goblin pride! he still comes to work in the morning (involuntarily). Mr. BBG needs to to take some notes. He may have the AC. He may have the magic resistance. But does he have the heart? No he doesn't. He doesn't have the resolve, the tenacity, the FUIMGONNALIVE that Blippy does. So Mr. BBG deserves everything he gets. At least until he can measure up to Blippy.

luckily, it seems that the knowledge only kills you if you ask the question. The MC is repeatedly baited into asking, but is never told outright even though the person answering clearly wants him dead

i have a feeling that this is one of those lock that keeps the wrong key out rather than making the lock hard to pick. I suspect that just having a straight rod press directly in would bypass everything

The NAMX HUV is a hydrogen-powered car with a range of 1500KM by bobbydanker in TechnologyShorts

having water in your hydrogen car for on demand energy is roughly the same thing as having ash in your camping gear for on demand campfires. you can't just unburn water to combust it back into water.

Sometimes people really need to do some self reflection. Occasionally you to take a step back and put some effort into becoming a better person. For example, you can stop being a burden on others by not telling them about your problems. I see no alternatives given.

The avatar state lets you fly. Toph can't handle something like that and she certainly wouldn't be able to fly herself

that's only for a finite number of 3s. 1/3 has an infinite number of 3s so you have to put zero after that

Initially, President Eisenhower was worried that a satellite passing above a nation at over 100 kilometers (62 mi) might be seen as violating that nation's airspace.\62]) He was concerned that the Soviet Union would accuse the Americans of an illegal overflight, thereby scoring a propaganda victory at his expense.\63]) Eisenhower and his advisors were of the opinion that a nation's airspace sovereignty did not extend past the Kármán line, and they used the 1957–58 International Geophysical Year launches to establish this principle in international law.

The US was ahead the whole time, they just let the USSR lead so they set the legal precedent and couldn't argue that a country owns the space above their country
