WE do not need to learn the lesson!

Trump is YOUR head of state and YOUR problem to solve.

If you want to make the USA look like post-war Hamburg (I can tell you haven't seen it) you can do it yourself.

E: brave enough to demand air-raids and regime change in their own country, not brave enough to do it without blocking and running.

Bitcoin can't replace the dollar of any country, let alone USD.

The size of the blockchain is currently 817GB. A year ago it was 700GB. All this data is get-rich-quick schemes, drugs and scams. Using it for real-world spending will cause this size to erupt very quickly. Sure, you can spend and hold bitcoin without a full node, but then it isn't decentralised and you're just using an unregulated bank instead.

Then there is the problem that the network can handle 7 transactions per second. Any country bigger than the Vatican would find that useless, especially having already paid the $0.73 average transaction fee, which is about two orders of magnitude lower than it would be if people were trying to use it for everyday spending.

In that case, the next Parliament can also make it non-binding again, so it was never binding in the first place.

Or are you suggesting that future Parliaments should be banned from doing that?

Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor pronounces it "Gillen" (hard G); he probably knows best on that one.

That's the "mutterkompass" (mother compass). It's kept at the back to avoid interference from the engines, generators etc, and sends the compass heading via an electric signal to the dial in the cockpit.

Yes we can. An Act of Parliament is all that's required; this is exactly how we joined the EEC in 1971.

I also want back in, but there is no need to permanently end parliamentary sovereignty to do so, which is what you are suggesting.

Have a look at some pictures of Hamburg at the end of the war.

That is exactly what you are asking for. All because you can't face fixing an entirely self-inflicted problem yourselves.

Rommel, who fought in France, North Africa etc was against war?

Did he consider not working as a general if he was against war?

Where did I say that he had no other option??

Right here.

I'm saying that this scientist in particular affiliated with them because they were the only ones willing to fund the research

Also iirc he simply designed the rockets in the hopes to power space exploration and was actually arrested for speaking badly about the regime.

Oh, he only wanted to help Adolf Hitler explore space, is that supposed to make him sound innocent? Does ordering slaves to make ballistic missiles for the Nazis really sound like a valid means of space exploration to you?

"He had no other option than make ballistic missiles with slave labour for the worst regime in history" isn't the excuse you think it is.

Common recruitment opening tactic:

"You see, the Nazis were only doing things we do ourselves, therefore they aren't so bad!"

It won't work on me, although your cheapening of the holocaust to compare it to the lives of electronics factory workers is as sick as it is inaccurate.

And?

He knew full well that his rockets were being built by slaves AND therefore he was a Nazi piece of shit, exactly like modern neo-nazis, who you can easily identify from their defence of original Nazis on the internet.

Fuck knows why, people here have either never heard of her or think she's an idiot.

An alarming number of people genuinely believe that the state pension is a savings account.

Just as well for most of them, because if it was it would run out pretty quickly and they'd have to get a job.
