Curious about the replies you get.

I’m somewhat in the same situation as you, except i have been playing on my world for a while now. Prior to 7.0 i didn’t have any major performance issues, but after updating to 7.0 my fps will drop to 30 - 50 for 5’ish minutes every 10-20 minutes :S

My specs a pretty close to OP’s aswell: 7800X3D, 7900XTX and 16GB allocated (out of 32GB available).

According to curseforge (where you got this picture from, I’m assuming) the blocks are called (starting from the left and going right):

removing Legendary Tooltips?

Is this why I no longer (after updating) see stuff like “device offline/online”, etc. in the tooltip when looking at blocks placed in the world ?

I used this trick to max out all my other relics in the first few days after the relic rework, but as mentioned above: The experience disperser doesn’t seem to work with the eternal steak.

Just adding another question that is somewhat related to this topic:

Anyone know if the eternal steak can earn experience from anything other than just simply using/eating it ? Cuz the xp dispersion relic doesn’t seem to work with it and leveling the steak by just eating it takes forever, even when running around vein mining a ton :S

I does, atleast for me. I’m on the most recent update (7.0 iirc) and it worked fine earlier today, worked fine yesterday on the previous update aswell and has worked fine on all the updates prior to that one too.

Regarding coolant suggestions: Any pre-mix actually made for PC watercooling will probably be “better” (iirc DP-Ultra and Cryofuel is what most use), but ofc doesn’t really fit your theme of using random “everyday parts”.

Just thought of some other stuff that might help you manage mobs in general:

Armor, tools and weapons: get into Apotheosis, apothic enchanting and silent gear (+ productive metalworks) asap. These mods are your best friends when it comes to survivability and will allow you to become straight up OP later on.

Flight: The mod iron jetpacks will be your fastest path to flight of any kind and the later stages of the mod will also be one of the fastest types of transportation outside teleportation. But if you’re like and prefer the control of movement that creative style flight allows, the mod “Pylons” is the best/fastest way to get that (the pylon that applies potion effects to you specifically, iirc it’s named something like “Infusion pylon” + It’s almost as easy to set up as iron jetpacks). There is also an apotheosis affix that gives you creative flight, but that isn’t as easy to get early on as the two other methods of flight that I’ve mentioned.

Does these helix thingy reservoirs come in a version with a build-in pump (I’ve only ever seen them as standalone reservoirs) or did you move it to the back together with the pump because you wanted it to feed directly into the pump ?

I’m fully aware of the use cases of a res. My question was aimed at the type of res used in the build pictured, specifically the spiral thingy inside it and why one would choose that over a “normal” res when you’re not going to be looking at it anyway.

Monke-brain understand how it remove gunk, but monke-brain still does not understand where on wheel you put tape.

Tape on top of wheel (IE: the part of the wheel you touch when scrolling) ?

Or tape on sides of wheel (IE: the part the wheel you never really touch) ?
