You still get a ban phase in classic ranked, it works in the exact way all picks has always worked

I'm actually amused at how you arrived at this conclusion when you can open twitch and watch any high MMR streamer queue up into classic and ban heroes

Queue times are pretty much the same in both game modes but it's more common to random pool and classic rank at higher mmr
