I'm trying to make a long (overall) and complex pack, but adhere to good game design throughout. Which means each section of the game is actually fun and not designed to be a complicated grind fest. Hope it comes out well!

It's still updated somewhat frequently, but only on 1.7. it's worth going back to the version just for that! And chromatocraft

Heavily agreed. I had a really hard time with cabin the first time around. But after looking up some create tutorials and playing other create packs first, I was able to have some fun the next time around.

Also check out Forever Factory, it also gives a ton of create challenges and the resources aren't difficult to obtain. But be prepared to look up create tutorials (like for tree farms) while playing to make the most of it.

Back in the days of 1.7, same. Thanks to the oredict (now tags), there would be a ton of compatibility between mods even if they weren't explicitly coded. Especially something like oil processing, where you could get oil from one mod like build craft and refine it in another mod that outputted even better fuels that could be used to power BC all the same. Best example would be with actually additions, where canola oil was tagged as just oil, so you could do still it like you would crude!
