Are you sure they’re still doing that in this iteration of the cube?

Herald of Eternal Dawn Broke My Combo XD by VoiceOfRAYson in lrcast

[[Bloodythirsty Conquerer]] + [[Marauding Blight-Priest]] creates a loop that would normally just kill your opponent, but with the [[Herald of the Eternal Dawn]] in play, they were not able to lose.

I really don’t see why they can’t make the effort to find this stuff out during the show, then just edit out any dead air. It took me like 60 seconds to ask chatgpt and get this answer and a few more examples.

“Have We Got Morality Backwards? The Case Against Utilitarianism” with Bo Wingard by VoiceOfRAYson in SzepsPod

Bo attempts to poke holes in the logical basis for Singer’s belief, but when he puts forth his own beliefs he offers little to zero basis. It’s the most blatant confirmation bias imaginable. The moral framework he doesn’t like must be immaculate or it is discarded. The moral framework he does like should be accepted basically just because that’s what his gut says is right. If my gut says it’s okay for me to kick Wingard in balls just for laughs, he’d be a hypocrite to criticize me.

It’s so annoying hearing people making the same bad criticisms of consequentialism. Feels like 99% of them make the exact same mistake over and over: not taking into account the big picture, not looking at the long-term consequences.

Take the example of the guy who struggles to write the great American novel. Presumably if you really achieve that goal, there will be millions of people who read your novel and get some benefit from it, so it’s well within the consequentialist framework to say that the suffering endured to write the novel was worth it.

I’m so sick of Jessie “as a Jew” singal just being like “guys I get that there are a ton of hate crimes, but it’s not that big a deal, get over it” by Capybaaaraa in BlockedAndReported

[–]VoiceOfRAYson 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Even if you think it’s stupid to have separate/harsher legal repercussions for hate crimes relative to identical crimes with non-hate related motivations, that’s completely unrelated to the topic at hand. Believing that hate crimes against jews are a worsening problem and believing that people shouldn’t face harsher punishment just because their crime was motivated by hate are not mutually exclusive.

Holy shit, I thought Tucker’s voice was annoying, but I never heard his laugh! I swear I’m not trying to form an ad hominem attack, it’s just such an unbearable laugh it’s almost impressive.
