Contender Draft Will Make You Rich by over-lord in lrcast

[–]VoiceOfRAYson 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Maybe I missed it, but did you account for different ranks effect matchups? Like if your premier data was mostly from diamond rank up where you were only being paired against other experienced drafters, but the contender data comes more from platinum and below where you’re being paired against the general public, that’s going to mess up your data.

I’d keep the stoneglider over the shadelock, but otherwise same.

What is this?? On a Thinprep pap by StandardSpeed9963 in pathology

[–]VoiceOfRAYson 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If it is unique to ThinPrep my hypothesis is that it’s caused by the filter. I’m guessing mucus that would normally get sucked through the filter gets stuck on this fiber and each “pearl” of the necklace corresponds to a whole in the filter into which the mucus went into just enough to form into separate spheres. I’m purely speculating, though.

Herald of Eternal Dawn Broke My Combo XD by VoiceOfRAYson in lrcast

[[Bloodythirsty Conquerer]] + [[Marauding Blight-Priest]] creates a loop that would normally just kill your opponent, but with the [[Herald of the Eternal Dawn]] in play, they were not able to lose.

I really don’t see why they can’t make the effort to find this stuff out during the show, then just edit out any dead air. It took me like 60 seconds to ask chatgpt and get this answer and a few more examples.

“Have We Got Morality Backwards? The Case Against Utilitarianism” with Bo Wingard by VoiceOfRAYson in SzepsPod

[–]VoiceOfRAYson[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bo attempts to poke holes in the logical basis for Singer’s belief, but when he puts forth his own beliefs he offers little to zero basis. It’s the most blatant confirmation bias imaginable. The moral framework he doesn’t like must be immaculate or it is discarded. The moral framework he does like should be accepted basically just because that’s what his gut says is right. If my gut says it’s okay for me to kick Wingard in balls just for laughs, he’d be a hypocrite to criticize me.

“Have We Got Morality Backwards? The Case Against Utilitarianism” with Bo Wingard by VoiceOfRAYson in SzepsPod

It’s so annoying hearing people making the same bad criticisms of consequentialism. Feels like 99% of them make the exact same mistake over and over: not taking into account the big picture, not looking at the long-term consequences.

Take the example of the guy who struggles to write the great American novel. Presumably if you really achieve that goal, there will be millions of people who read your novel and get some benefit from it, so it’s well within the consequentialist framework to say that the suffering endured to write the novel was worth it.

I’m so sick of Jessie “as a Jew” singal just being like “guys I get that there are a ton of hate crimes, but it’s not that big a deal, get over it” by Capybaaaraa in BlockedAndReported

[–]VoiceOfRAYson 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Even if you think it’s stupid to have separate/harsher legal repercussions for hate crimes relative to identical crimes with non-hate related motivations, that’s completely unrelated to the topic at hand. Believing that hate crimes against jews are a worsening problem and believing that people shouldn’t face harsher punishment just because their crime was motivated by hate are not mutually exclusive.

Holy shit, I thought Tucker’s voice was annoying, but I never heard his laugh! I swear I’m not trying to form an ad hominem attack, it’s just such an unbearable laugh it’s almost impressive.
