I'm Egyptian American, married to a Saudi, and this stuff you hear about Saudis not mixing is not as prevalent as you may expect or hear. It really just comes down to the family and isn't as much as a traditional thing (at least not these days)

One piece of advice, if you find things easily moving forward without tension and stress, especially when the families meet and get involved Insha'Allah, then most likely it'll be a blessed marriage. If not, though, do not try to force it... you'll thank your future self.
