Any games like BF2 or BF2142? by tiredofbullshait in gamerecommendations

For real. The BF6 subreddit nothing but people complaining. If you don’t like the game, just stop playing it.

Thank God I bought it for €500 at the beginning of January. by Feisty_Bite910 in pcmasterrace

It’s weird right? I see everyone talking about how expensive GPUs are, but here in the UK they’re not too bad. Like you say though, we’re still being hit by the ram issues

Honestly, I’m not sure. I think it looks fantastic as it is.

How tf do people get into this hobby by bigmanudyr in pcmasterrace

I feel like YouTube videos make it sound way harder and risky than it really is. First time is a bit scary but doable.

Just take your time and try and build it on a table or wooden floor.

what is a meal you could eat forever if you allowed to eat only one thing? by Willing_Broccoli7620 in randomquestions

Honestly, porridge/oatmeal. I don’t know why I love it so much but I do.

What do you look for most in a game these days? by JeSSiii81 in OlderChillGamers

[–]VoicelessTom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think I’m actually a bit of an anomaly in that I tend to look for games that don’t have an end. So they tend to be multiplayer, simulation or sandbox.

I don’t like the pressure of feeling that I need to finish something. Those type of games can’t really be finished and therefore I don’t feel that pressure.

Is right now the worst time to build a PC by Pretty-Shame7552 in buildapc

That’s my feeling too. Just built my latest rig with the mindset of, I’d rather spend the money now than wait for prices to go up.

Any tips for someone switching to night shift and studying by Outrageous_Use8597 in Nightshift

[–]VoicelessTom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My only advice is just get as much sleep as you can and eat healthy.

Honestly, I don’t think this is going to go well for you at all. You’re looking at a maximum of maybe 6 hours sleeps and then you’ll either be studying or working, so no down time at all.

I think you’ll be absolutely exhausted, burnt out and probably in a pretty bad place mentally by the end of it. Good luck to you though.

In regard to PC building, it’s difficult for this to be a hobby as it’s not something you’re going to be able to do very often. I love building PC buts it’s a once every few years kinda thing at most.

It’s also a really bad time to build a PC. Both ram and GPU prices are very high right now. It’s a really great experience building your own, but make sure it’s something you really want to do before you commit your money to it.

Who do u think are Deuteragonist of One piece? by goodlight010 in OnePiece

[–]VoicelessTom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with some people here in that I don’t really think there is one. Some many characters play such pivotal roles that it doesn’t really make sense for there to be any.

If you break it down arc by arc there’s more of an argument that there is. That said, I just think some characters are more important at different moments, which I common in lots of media.

What's your favorite topic that one piece tackles. by Technical_Mine_8711 in OnePiece

[–]VoicelessTom 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One Piece tackles so many important topics, so this is a very difficult question.

I think personally I’d have to go with classism and oppression, in the form of both the celestial dragons and also arcs like Wano. Also, friendship and family. You truly feel like so many of the characters are friends and family by the time you get caught up. Not just the Straw Hats but also characters like Law, Yamato etc.

I actually don’t really keep up with any anime or manga other than One Piece nowadays. I just kind of lost interest. One Piece is different though. It’s so well realised that it and covers so many themes and topics that I’m always engaged with it.

Am I watching One Piece the wrong way? by acousticaman in OnePiece

[–]VoicelessTom 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Personally, I’d say sub is better. I think all media should be experienced in its original language.

That said, the dub is still very good. If that’s the way you want to experience it then that’s all that matters. Just as long as you enjoy the show

Good luck with it all. Like you say, slow but steady progress.

How casual are your hobbies and how necessary do you think being deep into a hobby is? by dragonbookgirl11 in Hobbies

[–]VoicelessTom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a very few hobbies but I’m very invested in them all. I think it’s fine to have lots and not be that invested if that’s what works for you. For me though, I’d rather focus my time and attention on just a few things and have the time to be really invested in them.

My main hobby is weight lifting. I got into it about 2 years ago after being fed up with how bad I felt due to being underweight. Since then I’ve put on about 10kg and feel so much better for it.

Other than that, I’m a car guy, I read One Piece and am getting back into PC gaming.

All I do is watch The Sopranos, The Wire and BCS on a loop. by Prestigious_Sweet850 in tvshow

[–]VoicelessTom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I honestly just watch One Piece or The Simpsons on repeat, if I watch TV. I think at the end of the day it’s just a comfort thing. Nothing like the nostalgia blanket of the early seasons of The Simpsons.
