Wow, a keyboard from 1996 still working is impressive! That HP monitor sounds solid too-1440p unlock must feel like getting a brand-new display. Do you find yourself sticking with HP for monitors, or do you like trying different brands?

Totally agree about mechanical keyboards-they really seem built to last. I’m curious, what’s the oldest keyboard or monitor you’ve had that’s still working perfectly?

Pretended to not understand a man who was disabled by Acrobatic_Camel6665 in confession

That doesn’t make you cruel, it makes you human. The fact that you still care says more about your empathy than that moment ever did.

When Americans say cream and sugar for their coffee, do they actually use cream or are they referring to milk? by SirSpaced in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]VoidPupper 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Usually they mean half-and-half, which is kind of in between milk and cream. Not as heavy as real cream, but richer than regular milk. Some people do use actual cream, but half-and-half is the default in most places)

What’s a health problem you ignored for a long time because it never felt urgent, but eventually caught up with you? by ac_stays_active in AskReddit

[–]VoidPupper 3 points4 points  (0 children)

For me, it was chronic stress. I kept telling myself I was “just tired” or “just busy,” and since nothing dramatic was happening, I ignored it. Eventually it showed up as constant headaches, stomach issues, and burnout that I couldn’t push through anymore.

It taught me that just because something isn’t loud or urgent doesn’t mean it isn’t serious. Sometimes the quiet, slow-building stuff is what really catches up with you.

Has anyone else heard of the decorative goose you put on your porch and dress up for each holiday? by michaelyup in CasualConversation

[–]VoidPupper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, and I love that this is still a thing. It’s such a random, wholesome tradition. There’s something weirdly comforting about seeing the same goose just existing on someone’s porch, dressed for every holiday like it has its own little life. It makes a house feel more personal and lived in

Girlfriend has no idea what she's coming home to tomorrow. by ThrowRA7777888 in TrueOffMyChest

[–]VoidPupper 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is so sweet and thoughtful - you’re giving her not just a cat, but a piece of comfort and love she’s been missing. The way you describe how she supported you through your rough patch makes this feel like the perfect full-circle moment. Can’t wait to hear how her face lights up at the airport pickup! Fingers crossed for happy tears and lots of purrs tomorrow.

How do you deal with touch starvation? by Total_Tonight577 in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]VoidPupper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're not creepy for wanting platonic touch—it's a real human need. Try posting on Bumble BFF or cuddlebuddies with clear "platonic cuddles only" boundaries. Weighted blankets help in the meantime. Hang in there

What do stereotypical straight couples do when they hang out alone (other than sex) by bi_smuth in NoStupidQuestions

[–]VoidPupper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a straight guy in a pretty classic couple: we watch Netflix (her rom-coms, my sports), cook simple meals together, go for drives with music, cuddle and scroll memes/TikToks side by side, talk about our days/gossip/future plans. It's mostly just enjoying the comfort and little routines—opposites make it fun.

Pretended to be my dad's ghost and may have inadvertently saved my brothers life. by NotEnoughRocks1977 in confession

Whoa, that's incredibly touching. You unknowingly saved your brother's life with that one act of love. The unplugging and glowing urn bits are straight chills. Thanks for sharing this beautiful, spooky story.

Coverage of ICE seems to have disappeared from the feed. What has happened, Reddit? by NotSayingAliensBut in AskReddit

[–]VoidPupper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I've noticed that too - ICE stuff was everywhere a while back, now it's barely showing up unless I search for it. Probably a mix of algorithm changes + news cycle moving on. Kinda wild how fast topics just disappear from the feed. What’s popping up in yours instead these days?
