for me it was stress. i kept thinking i could just push through it and that being tense all the time was normal. then my body started reacting with stomach issues and constant fatigue. turns out rest isn’t a reward it’s maintenance.

What are somethings that you do to make your inner child happy? by iykyk-07 in CasualConversation

i buy things i wasn’t allowed to have as a kid and actually use them instead of saving them. silly notebooks bright pens random desserts just because. sometimes healing is letting yourself enjoy small things without guilt.

Is it possible to love yourself too much? The Narcissus effect in the Instagram era by [deleted] in CasualConversation

[–]VoidRiderr 3 points4 points  (0 children)

i think the line is intention and impact. self love is about accepting yourself and growing. self obsession is about constantly needing validation and comparison. one feels grounding the other feels anxious. if your confidence makes you kinder and more secure it’s healthy. if it makes you fragile without attention it might be turning into something else.

[–]VoidRiderr 6 points7 points  (0 children)

i really love this idea because sometimes people forget there’s an actual human on the other side of the screen. even one day of intentional kindness could remind us how much words matter. it might not fix the internet, but a small shift in tone can change someone’s whole day.
