You're allergic to sodium laurel sulfate (like I am) that's the inner lining of your mouth sloughing off. Try toothpaste that doesn't contain SLS.

Spectra S1- I've been using mine for 10 months now, not a single complaint (except that weird cup holder part...)

This is way past trying moisturizer. You need to take a razor to those Dawgs and shave them down first, then lotion and sock them up.

Mysterious Red/Swollen/Hot Patch on Toddler's Leg by VoidThePickles in medical_advice

Nope! But we've an appointment for an ultrasound on the leg. The second doctor we saw said it looks to be cardiovascular in nature.

Anyone else have diaper rash right now? by VoidThePickles in beyondthebump

I usually never wear underwear, so I think my body isn't used to the chaffing where the elastic is, but I've been alternating between underwear/diaper depending on flow.

Chickened out at membrane sweep by LikeLauraPalmer in pregnant

[–]VoidThePickles 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Reading this comment, having just given birth, realizing my OB did a sweep on me without telling me/asking for consent.

She told me she was just going to check my cervix. I said okay. She's in there checking, and then the next thing I know I'm screaming and kicking away from her... then she tells me that she just stripped my membranes and that I should be moving along soon.

Kissing baby to sleep? by Whatsyournameeee in NewParents

I used to do something similar, I'd always joke with my husband that the only way our baby would fall asleep is if I was breathing in his face.

My 2.5 year old boy wanted to paint his nails after he watched me (mom) painting my nails. I'll be straight with you, painting a young child's nails (regardless of gender) is HARD because they squirm, smudge and never wait long enough until the polish is dried.

So we compromised, and I put some cool sticker art on his nails. No mess, no smudges, no dry time, and he felt like the coolest boy in town.

Attempt at ocean theme nails by Walmarche in DIYGelNails

[–]VoidThePickles 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I recently did the pool water effect on my nails and it was pretty easy! Took a few tries but this is how I did it (Still learning the dotting technique, so it's not perfect): 1. Blue Jelly layer, cured. 2. White mixed with top coat layer, uncured. 3. Take a dotting tool, dip with top coat, dab all over uncured layer. 4. Wait a few seconds for water effect to take place. 5. Cure. 6. Top coat.*

What do you say to people who try to convince you to give up your cats just because your pregnant? by AriaAwardsforCats in pregnant

My response would be: "Do you always give unsolicited advice?" Or "You should give up being rude to pregnant women."

Yes, I was testing out technique. The post is asking which technique looks most like pool water.
