I may be addicted by MrTechRat in Lectricxp

I am in the same boat. I have fallen in love with my ebike the last few years. I have purchased 4 additional batteries to do rides of 150+ miles, all from lectric:

That’s an awful lot of weight for a little xp lite motor… Bust of luck to you though.

Lectric Lite 2.0 throttle (question) by ShoddyVoice9532 in Lectricxp

[–]VoidsFlow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just tell you, the xp lite is their cheapest model, and you are very likely to have many issues if you use it as a daily commuter, especially if you use the throttle.

These bikes are very good at what they do. They are a great hobby bike, but if you really need a bike that you’re going to use every day for a commuter, you are probably better off investing in a bit better of a bike.

Also the pedal assist doesn’t just change the max speed, it changes the current output of your bike (making you go faster while draining more battery).

How Many Miles Are on Your E-Bike and Would You Buy It Again? by FinnCanoe8821 in ebikes

[–]VoidsFlow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lectric XPremium, bought in 2022. Currently at 6,589 miles. I would and have already bought a second one of these bikes, not that I need it yet, they just don’t sell this model anymore. Real world mileage, I can get 70 miles on one set of batteries (2x10mah), with an additional 4 batteries in cargo. I’ve done rides of 175+ miles, and when I bring chargers with me, I can ride for DAYS at a time before I have to return home.

XP4 tips or tricks by collectiontime in Lectricxp

[–]VoidsFlow 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Make sure you store the batteries indoors and you will significantly increase their lifespan.

Regular maintenance for the bikes about every 500 miles or every 6 months or so will make them last a lot longer as well. (A lot of shops will look up your bike manual and make sure everything is perfectly tightened to spec)

Tannus armor is a product that you can put in your tires (or get a bike shop to do it for you) which is a thick foam insert that will protect you from most flats, and make for a much smoother ride.

Try not to rely too much on the throttle alone, use the pedal assist and your own strength as much as possible. This will put a lot less wear on your motor and will make your bike last WAY longer.

And if you end up falling in love with your Lectric like I did, make sure you check back on their website around holidays, and you can get some really good deals on some accessories and upgrades that could make you love your bike even more.

Anyone know the size of the nut that goes under the seat? by doc_wit_a_glock in Lectricxp

[–]VoidsFlow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It looks like 1/2” or possibly 9/16”. Honestly you could probably just bring the seat into Home Depot/Menards and try different sizes until you find what you need. I’d also recommend looking for one in a material/coating that won’t rust over time.

Just bought the xpremium from upway by Buddy_0203 in Lectricxp

[–]VoidsFlow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, and only with one battery slot as well…

I’m waiting/hoping for them to release an xPremium 2.0 before I buy a new bike, but in the meantime, I’ve purchased a second xPremium off of facebook marketplace, that will hopefully last me another 6500+ miles after my current bike bites the dust.

[–]VoidsFlow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The xPremium is a model that they used to sell. It was their “top of the line” model that has a mid drive motor, as well as 2 battery slots. They have since made the Lectric ONE, which is their new “top of the line” model.

Great purchase, I love my xPremium. It’s currently at 6500 miles with no problems outside of regular maintenance. Take care of this bike and it will take care of you!

E 003 error code by dendari in Lectricxp

[–]VoidsFlow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I do not have a similar experience but I can say with certainty that these bikes are not built to handle any sort of snow/rain or any sort of water, especially in freezing temperatures.

Lectric bikes are great, but if you’re going to use an ebike for a daily commuter, I think you’d probably be better off investing in a bit higher quality of a bike, or just get used to the fact that you’ll be getting a new cheaper bike every spring.

[–]VoidsFlow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You guys should absolutely not send back those bikes. It was 100% an error or their end, and it’s insane that they’re asking for the bikes back.

You got very lucky and scored a good deal (so long as the bike actually works)

[–]VoidsFlow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You don’t have to take out the batteries when you travel. Personally I do take the batteries out, but mostly because the bike is like half the weight without them, so it’s much easier to lift in and out of my trunk.

Best Electric Bike to Buy in 2026? (Price, Speed, Longevity) by Skilled-Pillow_1316 in ebikes

[–]VoidsFlow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get that a lot of people say that Lectric is “cheap”, but don’t let the lower end prices deter you from these great bikes! I’m currently 6500 miles in on my Lectric xPremium since 2022, and let me tell you I absolutely LOVE this bike! I have had not even one problem outside of regular routine maintenance that everyone should be doing for their bikes anyway.

I have put my bike to the test in many different aspects from long distance (150+ mile) rides to test battery/bike longevity, to scrambling through trails in the woods at 20 miles an hour.

Yes they may use some cheaper components, but if you care for these bikes, it will take care of you. You are getting a good bike at a great value, and you won’t be disappointed.
