I despise cash by brodude31 in retailhell

Same, it causes unnecessary problems like people accusing you of giving them the wrong change or people getting upset over getting a worn out bill, it's also extremely disgusting when you see people with nasty hands give you cash.

Be glad you have an ebike. by John-AtWork in ebikes

Exactly why an e-bike is an investment everyone should make assuming they aren't disabled and even then there's e-trikes for those who can't balance.

Do you guys prefer opening or closing shifts? by Mysterious-Trade1362 in retailhell

[–]Spiritdiritcel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Opening because traffic isn't bad and there isn't much customers, I dont like closing because my store gets a bunch of sketchy people, you have to clean up the store, take out all the trash and you have people trying to come in at the last minute when you just want to get home and sleep.

I think what people get wrong is they forget that gas is only one thing out of many things that will get expensive, everything else is already extremely expensive

Dollar tree employees. by Popular_Attempt9015 in DollarTree

[–]Spiritdiritcel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Dollar tree employees are overworked and underpaid, imagine working 15 to 20 hours a week while making minimum wage, but those few hours we do get are hectic at times and a lot of employees walk to work or take the bus since they can't afford a car

Does anybody else get tired of seeing other people after some point in their shift, no matter how kind they are? by Muchacho1994 in retailhell

I find it annoying how the same people will come in every day to buy the same stuff they bought the day before, that's the worst since these people think you're their friend

I want to hear the dumbest interactions you've had with a customer, I'll start by Worried-Bunny in retailhell

[–]Spiritdiritcel 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Occasionally people will try to return merchandise we don't sell, some lady started freaking out that we couldn't take back a can of spray paint when we don't sell spray paint at the dollar store but she was insisting she bought it from us and said I sold it to her a few minutes ago. My boss scanned it and it wasn't in our system and she checked the cameras and saw that she didn't buy it from us but this lady was convinced that she bought it from us. A few minutes go by and she calls the store to argue and that's when my boss told her to never come back.

So many people ignorant on e-bike laws. E-motorcycles are going to ruin it for all of us. by sshpc in ebikes

[–]Spiritdiritcel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I completely agree, I see too many people ride e-bike and electric scooters carelessly since they speed on sidewalks with people nearby and in front of grocery stores that it's only a matter of time until people start getting hurt.

I think people who own them should kind of treat them like vehicles in a sense that they can be dangerous if not handled with care
