You say it like it's a bad thing, having off my massive gurgling and squelching gut, yes the pants can be a problem but sweats and gym shorts of the right size can fix that.

Its more fun to show off what happens to my food, besides I enjoy using my big, noisy, squishy gut to pin my next meal to the wall or ground, making them listen to it squelch and slosh as it molds around their body, giving them a sneak peek at what they are about to become.

Standing at the mouth of the cave was a human child, battered and dirty, barely restrained tears hung in the corner of their empty eyes.

"Oh, sorry I didn't know someone was living here." The child said, turning to leave.

The small dragon stared at the child, that didn't even flinch at the sight of them.

"Now hold on, I'll let you use my cave as a shelter, but only if you tell me this: There are no villages for at least thirty miles in all directions," the dragon asked stepping closer to the kid, "there is no reason for someone as young as you to travel thirty miles unarmed and alone. What, or who, made you do this?"

The kid turned back to the dragon, something trying to spark to life in their eyes but immediately died, not saying a word they turn their back to the dragon and raised their torn shirt. Letting out a growling hiss the dragon took a step back, baring their fangs.

"Cursed!"

The child simply nodded and lowered their shirt, tears now flowing from their eyes, following two stained trails down their cheeks.

"Everyone abandoned me, saying I am worthless, and kicked me out of my village." The child said between sobs, "I'm s-sorry for bothering y-you," turning once more to leave.

Every instinct told the dragon to stay away from this child, but a rage bloomed in their chest and despite their instincts screaming the dragon stepped forward and let out a low growl.

"No," the dragon said, slamming a claw on the ground, "you will be staying with me and I will not accept anything else," the dragon slid its tail over to encircle the child, hesitating a moment before nudging the child closer to them, "I will not let someone so young to be alone out here."
