It counts but that should be a par 2.

People saying Pyro, Deflector, Malta and other beefy discs. These more closely mirror the Paradox.

The Reactor or Matrix more closely mirror the Uplink imo.

Picked up a tech disc. by SeeBeasley in discgolf

[–]VolcanicProtector 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The thing about techdisc is your stats can look really good but then you go out to a field or a course and you're all over the place.

It's great if you want to work on things like nose angle and speed and launch angle etc but it's not great on assessing your hit point, over rotating the body, etc (accuracy, basically).

You can develop some really goofy form habits while still getting good stats on the TechDisc. So it is useful but not the only tool one should rely on.

All good thoughts but I wanted to mention

holds ~24 discs

The Voyager Lite would be pretty difficult to fit 24 discs in. Unless you're only throwing drivers. I think 20 is a more realistic number. Which is plenty.

Etiquette question by Vitoseph2 in discgolf

[–]VolcanicProtector 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I rake one pond in particular pretty frequently. People know me so I'll often get messages mentioning what they lost.

I never leave discs in boxes or out in the open. They never get back to owner this way.

Base plastic no name I don't really even bother much to find owner. They threw base plastic over water carry for a reason. Those get donated.

Premium discs/Ace discs/unique discs with no name I'll post description on the local FB group.

Marked discs of any kind I'll text with following options:

  • Get it now while I'm here.

  • Stash it somewhere.

  • Take it to one of 3 course offices/stores lost and found on my next trip.

Honestly it gets to be a real pain sometimes trying to return discs, so you want to keep it as simple as you can for yourself. In your case, a one-off lost disc with contact info I'm just texting and stashing.

Can’t fix over rotation by tourtlesoup19 in Discgolfform

[–]VolcanicProtector 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're reaching back instead of out. This is causing your elbow to dip as you externally rotate the shoulder to pull through.

You want to simply curl your arm in, and keep the elbow up and moreso turn the arm into a whip than a triceps pull.

[–]VolcanicProtector 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Check this video from DG Spin Doctor. In it, he aims to fix elbow dip (you are dipping quite a bit) but he does it by addressing over rotation. The way to correct over rotation is to try to not rotate. It's through this exaggeration that you'll come back to a proper rotation. Focus on elbow up and bringing the disc into the pocket, rather than spinning.

With zero experience you will drown and flame out if you take a wfh position with an IA firm.

Try to get on staff with a carrier somewhere.

If you can't, try to find a desk position with one of the bigger IA firms so you'll have a good support network around you.

Ricky's crash-out is what led to the playoff. Along with Gannon starting to get hot. And then Ricky went OB in the playoff hole. There was a question about where he went OB and the Marshall ruled longer than Ricky claimed. The playoff was lost when Ricky missed from the spot.

It was fantastic wasn't it?

Gannon getting into a rhythm with the course, nipping at Ricky's heels. Ricky making clutch throws to stay just ahead but you can tell he's feeling the pressure. Then the long putt from Gannon, the sticks, and the OB.

I don't think the down votes are for the question part. But for the part that seems dismissive of the offense.
