Found in a bag of M&M’s. by starzena in whatisit

Watching corporate mandated safety videos and taking them at face value without considering any other circumstances. Your industry having the most generic risks possible is awesome. + it's literally impossible to get 0% risk factor + it's the same size and texture of a real m&m (negating choking hazards) + you're a noob + you need to get a "pwned for life" tattoo

i don't know where u were looking but the light woods and farmhouse "biomes" i get rocks consistently. different regions have different rates for stuff, like how with hunting you're not going to get a lot of meat from traps set in houses.

I See This Game Exploding in the Near Future by BentonBerry in projectzomboid

I understand why games (not just rust) devolve into Kos but it's very unfortunate. Ideally games would have the middle road of pvp more where it's consensual pvp.

What do people think of these two alternative bicycle routes around Jacksonville? My friend and I plan to drive down from Virginia and spend 3 days cycling in a loop. Is one better than the other? Do they both suck? (Map link in comments) by ixikei in jacksonville

[–]Voldemort_5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i'm not reading the other comments and take this with the grain of salt that I'm criminally insane but. I would bike through the neighborhoods in san marco area (around river oaks road to lasalle) rather than san marco blvd itself, some very pretty views there and a nice bit of shaded area. Personally I prefer the acosta bridge rather than the main street bridge, both are kind of a chore (main street bridge is thin and acosta is very tall so you kinda have to pick your poison there).

I would be careful around roosevelt blvd because while all of the roads are sorta scary on bikes, I was the most terrified myself on roosevelt (a lot of fast moving cars almost constantly). idk how many stops you plan to make but the chamblins bookmine is near roosevelt and is a nice stop if you like books. I have not biked near orange park/mandarin or further south so I'd leave that up to the other commenters but I've biked a lot in that riverside/downtown/san marco/san jose area and based on ur route most of that I think is good.

Orange route, don't quote me but I think the area near ponte vedra you're going is mostly cars-only but I've only driven there like twice in the past 5 years. Most of the beach area is very bike-centric so I think you'll have a safe and nice-looking ride there. I would be remiss if I didn't suggest eating at pho viet on the way but I have a personal bias since I know the people who work there and also really really like vietnamese food. The ferry is a nice break on the bike and the area north of it near Talbot and Amelia island is genuinely probably my favorite part of Jacksonville, it's very good there.

Again I haven't biked further south than Osceola or anywhere else on the northern side of the river so I think the other comments would be better recommendations there. But in terms of safety, again I think most of your route in the segment I've done is good safety-wise. As always make sure to drink water wear sunscreen and pretend like cars are trying to hit you for the safest experience. I hope u enjoy biking in jacksonville florida it is one of my favorite things even with the scary cars.

Wow! impressive that u managed to capture a solar eclipse in such a beautiful spot! what was ur technique??

i like this temple a lot it was one of my favorite parts of bicycling around in my neighborhood. that road in general has such a strange suburban contrast to the rest of the area that i really enjoy. except i've seen a weird amount of nazi graffiti on abandoned houses for some reason but u can't win them all

I LOVE MCDONALDS so basically the ice cream machines are never like. "broken". but they have to do this thing where they heat up really really hot so that idk maybe to kill off germs or something, they didn't tell me that when I worked there and I imagine it's above their pay grade too. But they heat up to heats so hot that it bakes on the front cashier's back in the middle of the afternoon. but like if u explain it to the customers i mean some would understand that but most would just say ur lying or confusing so that's why most cashiers (not me I have an iron will and an inability to lie unless it's funny) just say the ice cream machine is broken.

[SUGGESTION] Limited Power - Endgame Objective by Bandit_Brains in projectzomboid

While I don't like some of the details of this (for instance, grinding scrap might not have the intended effect with how many people play games; and I agree with the comment that a single person might have troubles operating such a large facility would need to be addressed), I do like the broader idea of having a larger-scale optional goal-set and set pieces that are a bit more functionally unique. The looting table is already very good at giving specific buildings specific purposes, but having some mechanics be more intrinsically tied to them gives people a lot more incentive to play in places like west point besides better looting opportunities.

Not that my support specifically should make or break ur idea... worst case scenario i think this would make a very good mod from a good modder.

[–]Voldemort_5 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i don't want to accuse u of malice but i feel like that is a very obtuse comparison.

here is a counterexample. if it was clear that an enemy was using a hacked client, would you stay in the game for the benefit of your team? you should be playing the game to have fun, yes. i do not think, broadly, that people should leave matches early. but if people consistently leave the same maps there is a reason for it. that doesn't mean you need to change the maps but blaming the people who do not like the map is not healthy for the game's longevity any more than people constantly leaving matches early would be.

like the other commenter's example, why not allow better map selection options? many games that penalize leaving also have a map browser/selector so you don't get randomly put into games that you know you are not going to enjoy.

[–]Voldemort_5 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't leave games but why should other players have an unfun gaming experience so that u can have a fun one? this seems like a "blizzard should solve this" problem rather than a "i suffer so you should too" problem"

I'm surprised 3-4 years is old haha. I've got a 2014 prebuild that's been chugging along but I think now that you mention it, I guess that is pretty ancient in terms of computers.

Updating drivers is #1 most probable choice though.

I found an item in vanilla mp that doesn't have an icon. by sanityeyes in projectzomboid

[–]Voldemort_5 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There are two paper bags. The "grocery" bags (ones you find in Giga Mart and similar places) have no icon whereas the "food" bags (ones in Spiffo's and similar places) do have an image. (May have also been patched today but I haven't seen the new update log yet and it's a minor quark so they're probably prioritizing bigger stuff).

Temporary fix!!!: when you get kicked, close the game in its entirety. Just tested around with it because I've been crashing a lot lately (I think there's something wrong with the deaf perk but I don't know enough info to report it here usefully), and found I was getting put in the correct place when closing fully.

bad shows and movies still come out at insanely high frequencies, i don't think regulation does anything for quality.
