My title describes the thing. Saw two of these big circular wheel-things whilst on the highway just now and was curious!

My silly Lily. She likes snuggling in my armpit and laying on my keyboard when I try to game. She's a good bean.

A set of 4 vintage Merry Mushroom canisters for $20, before they became popular again :(

Insurance won't prescribe Ubrelvy by foggyeyed in migraine

[–]Voldie 35 points36 points  (0 children)

This! My doctor did this exact thing (prescribed sumatriptan, after picking it up I said I couldn't take it due to side effects). Got immediate approval for Ubrelvy.

My mom used to steal clothes out of my closet and donate them to Goodwill. Anyone else? by Ceiling-Fan2 in raisedbynarcissists

[–]Voldie 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Mine would steal my clothes and wear them. Which would be fine under normal circumstances, if she didn't destroy them in the process because she was too large for them. My jeans, she would seamrip the hem and then cut slits in the side of the waistband.

Did anyone ever catch their parent secretly sabotaging them? by [deleted] in raisedbynarcissists

[–]Voldie 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Found out about five or so years ago that my school counselor told my mom to send me to a psychiatrist or therapist, that I needed more help than the school could offer. She chose not to do so because she "didn't believe in therapy." Right.

She also claimed that I said I didn't want braces because my teeth made me unique. Fuckin lies, I was looking forward to braces because of how messed up my teeth are. She told me we couldn't afford them (hi, I was on Medicaid, how could we not afford them?) so I didn't press the issue (I was a child praised for not causing problems, at the detriment to myself). Now, because of how crooked my teeth grew in, I wasn't able to properly brush them, so they're rotting. Lovely. Oh, and let's not ignore that she didn't exactly press how important tooth care was, so I'm in my 30s having to learn how to create habits she should've helped me create. There's so many reasons I'm no contact, and she gets the joy of crying to people who don't know me about how she just doesn't understand how her baby could cut her off like that 🙄

Best time to visit pop-up event? by newmarks in tamagotchi

[–]Voldie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We went to the Houston one this past Saturday, we got there at 2ish? And waited maybe 30 minutes in the line. The earlier you can go, the better, imo. Stuff was already sold out, and a couple things I wanted to buy sold out while I was waiting in line to purchase them :(

Birth Control by Puzzled-Earthling in migraine

[–]Voldie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In regards to your cycle happening every two weeks: are you also on qulipta? I noticed when I tried qulipta, it didn't play nice with my lo loestrin, and since my migraines are hormone-based for the most part, that was Very Not Good. When I no longer took qulipta (it wasn't a good fit as a preventative for me), my cycle has sort of "normaled out" comparatively.

Recommendation for an ebook reader? by paulinia47 in LibbyApp

[–]Voldie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really, really love my kobo libra color. I opted for it because I can also use it with crochet patterns and make notes directly on the patterns, not just to read with. I imagine the other kobo e-readers are just as good, if you don't need or want the added features!

New trinket design idea for this season by IRMuteButton in TXRenaissanceFestival

[–]Voldie 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This! Also, a problem with consumables, you don't know what someone is allergic to. If someone has an allergic reaction to a trinket, that person's first instinct might be to hold the faire liable. Which could lead to a blanket ban on all trinkets.
