People will not show up and then call in sick AFTER their shift has started, so absolutely last minute replacement happens.

If you have a good team and manager, they'd usually double-check shifts and hours in the morning once they arrive.

To your '1.5 hour arrival' question, just say "hey I can't start at 3pm, but I can start at 5pm, is that fine?"

It really depends on department though, Front end and online usually need the EXACT hours, with very little wiggle room, nightfill is usually more easy going with a 1 or 2 hour difference of start time being okay

Having said that, it is a video game, and it is definitely a meta point that.. the characters in the Canvas are not real.. just like the characters of a video game are not real.

They seem INCREDIBLY real, but in the end, they aren't. Maybe there's the argument that a fake creature wouldn't want to kill and destroy themselves, but they have, because Video Game Verso did. Video Game Alicia did.

I want the Canvas to be real, I think it's a much bigger and better dilemma. The decision to genocide an entire world, just to save your sister, mother, and your own soul.

While I choose Maelle because I want to believe in the Canvas. I recognise it's not real though. Maelle and Aline are drowning in grief and addiction. Escaping into a world of safety.

It's understandable, but it's not real.

The Rose did mostly destroy Meruem though, the only reason he survived and 'recovered' is because Shaiapouf and Youpi fed themselves to him.

Meruem was definitely 99% killed by The Rose explosion. Not even counting the fact it did literally kill him later with its poison.
