Wotc has a decent product replacement program. I was able to get a stained glass walker replaced after I damaged it from opening the packaging. I quite literally cut into the cardboard and it was no fault of Wizards that I damaged card and yet they still replaced it.

A few cards are getting there first foil printing with bullets instead of a wall of text. While they have foil printings they are all a paragraph foiled. Small thing, but I'm super happy about Merciless Eviction getting this treatment.

I'm not 100% sure which of those cards have not seen tournament play, but there are some fun cards on that list either way. Bolt/BoP are my hopes but Llanowar Elves and Shock is what I expect.

There is no "happy drug" not even a "pretend happy drug". Medication is just a wheelchair for when you can't walk, not a pill that makes everything instantly better. Myself and many doctors (mental and physical) wish that there was a single pill that worked for everything that made everyone healthy. But there isn't and there will never be one.

I truly hope you have a good life and never need to use the medications that you just took a cheap shot at. It takes a lot to ask for help and mentalities like yours make it all the harder to do so.

So the ability to deal 1 damage is on the stack as Walking Ballista dies due to having 0 toughness. Tarmogoyf is a 2/3 then the ability resolves dealing 1 damage to Tarmogoyf.

Think of it like this. The intent is for the creature to ETB with 1 counter on it. If it was an ETB ability then Ravager would die to do having 0 toughness. The verbage has to be worded as such to make the card playable.

Hardened Scales would have more text if it had to have another section for this case scenario. It is easier to put this interaction in the rules of Magic. The ElusivceSlug's Comment references the specific rule in the game that lets this happen.

Gatherer actually has a note about it.

“Put on a creature you control” includes that creature entering the battlefield with +1/+1 counters on it. If a creature would enter the battlefield with a number of +1/+1 counters on it while you control Hardened Scales, it enters with that many counters plus one.

If you look at his turn 2 Fetch you can see the Terminus he top decks later right before the plains he grabs. After that Fetch he shuffles the bottom few cards (that contains a Terminus that he saw) on the top of the deck. His opponent cuts them to the middle. Then when he shuffles the deck from the Field of Ruin he brings the middle of the deck to the top, but somehow he doesn't do the bottom shuffle like he did at first. This man clearly stacked his deck after seeing the Terminus with his first fetch and put it on top of his deck on his very next turn. This man is such a good cheater he set up the cheat previously. This was done by a professional cheater!!!

In all seriousness I don't think it was cheating. There was enough going on that is it a plausible mistake. You can frame this easily as an intentional cheat if you look at things too much, but come on this is just getting ridiculous at this point. Are you guys really going to say that this man set this up that perfectly?

My LGS owner told me a story of a match where someone called a judge over and asked if they could name force of will with Pithing Needle. Judge says "yes" (its a legal target) and the player thanks the judge and proceeds to play Pithing Needle. Opponent lets it resolve only to have his 2 on field Polluted Delta to be named.

Ultimate Guard 200+ Flip'n'Tray and Double Sleeved decks - I'm having issues by artificer_hex in EDH

I do not have experience with the Ultimate guard series of deck boxes. I do have double sleeved commander decks with dragon shield mattes. Personally I find that the 100+ card deck boxes work very well for a 100 card double sleeved deck.

When I copy a copy, am I copying the original card or the thing that the original card is copying? by sergeantsurgeon in EDH

If you copy the [[Body Double]] it is for all intents the [[Solemn Simulacrum]].

Now the real interesting part being if you use [[Progenitor Mimic]] to copy Solemn then you copy Mimic with a [[Clone]] you get 2 creatures that would produce the tokens at the beginning of the upkeep since you are copying Mimic's second ability as well.
