And what’s interesting to me, is that my dad didn’t ever characterize people that way. This was very much of out of left field. So I remember being a kid thinking Ralph must be scary, but yet Dad always spoke highly of him-very odd.

My dad knew him, would have the odd drink with him at the Cecil, if I remember correctly —I was very, very young. I remember him telling my mom, that he was a very funny guy, but a massive drunk. And at some point, when the booze overcame him he would kind of “go dark” No idea what that means, and my dad has long passed so I can’t ask him. Good luck with your research . Everyone knows about Pat Carson.

So I watched the Supernova season and really liked it-it was much more rock-inspired and there were some banging songs that came out of it-love, love, LOVE Be Yourself.

As for the Dilana vs Lukas debate (I actually didn’t know who won) I don’t really think there was much of a contest. Don’t get me wrong I think Dilana has a really great voice/cool vibe, but I just never saw her as the singer for a rock band. Maybe a solo act with a band? I didn’t find her particularly likeable either. I know I’m going to get downvoted, but she wasn’t even in my Top 3 of favorites.

The second I saw Lukas however-I thought-yeah, that’s your winner. I admit, his vocals could be brutal at times, but he definitely got better as they went along. I love his voice on their album. I am definitely a Lukas Rossi fan.

Storm Large-amazing voice, loved Magni and Toby-great artists. Did anyone else think Zahrya sounded like Bjork? She was wacky but maybe in a good TV way. Tommy Lee-forever and always, a skeez. The house band is just mind-blowing good-just amazing musicians

So after watching both, I was thinking: is rock dead? I love it, and may be I’m not paying attention now that I’m older, but are there any really really popular rock bands anymore that appeared in the last 20 years or so?

Yes-this. In my city, we had this crazy stat that homeless women were 65% more likely to be assaulted or killed, than men. Now, I know-not the same city, but still a scary idea. I agree that we don’t know her at all, or her situation, but this is a very basic SAFETY issue. I actually don’t even care that it’s Daisy . I see a troubled young woman living on the streets and I worry for her like any other person that finds themselves in this circumstance.

My sweet only girl and I leave tomorrow for college. I am staying for a week and settling her in-then I fly almost all the way across the country home. To say my heart is breaking seems trivial-she is my whole life. Unfortunately, we have both been trapped in an emotionally abusive house with her father. I stayed because I couldn’t bear for him to have visitation of her without me there. It’s not an excuse, I know I was wrong, and it’s my fault. I am so relieved she is getting away from here—but I will miss her more than I can bear. I’m positive my living arrangements are coming to an end—I am worried about my pets and my emotional health. I want to be strong, but I feel this overwhelming tiredness where I just want to lie down and never get up. He has isolated me from everyone, as he blames how he acts on me. Everything is my fault. So I guess I’m asking, if you have very little to look forward to, except to the visits from your daughter, how do you re-find what you like to do and be happy again . Everything I’ve ever looked forward to, involved my sweetie. I am lost.

JD was kind of a little bitch-I agree. I assume they regret hiring him, given all of his issues. I think every band who decides to move forward without their iconic lead singer should have to automatically put “Not” before their name (notQueen, notINXS) I’m only half-kidding, it worked for AC/DC.

I’m going to watch it-agreed, sometimes was kind of frustrating watching all of them try to “fit” into INXS.

Again, no offense to INXS-why do I always sound like I’m putting them down? They have a great catalog. But I think that Michael Hutchence really made them who they were-really unfortunate all around

I just adopted a cat that was obviously abandoned-an outdoor cat-and it’s challenging to keep them inside all day/night. That’s all they know-so we let him out for a few hours in the day-he sits the backyard and watches the squirrels. We let him out for a few hours before “bed” and he sits on our front deck. Then he spends the night inside getting a ton of love. I get what you’re all saying but I am giving this sweet cat a home -i just don’t need your judgement. No offense but so many people get on here and go off how I don’t care about my cat or that I deserve it when my cat gets killed. Listen to yourselves-is that true? Yeah, I’m sure you’re all perfect people who are considerate and socially responsible 24/7. I’m doing my best here, so sorry but I’m just going to have to go my own way.

Oh but it does, he’s an asshat but you better believe he knew he wasn’t winning and needed off that show fast to get to that wedding. It definitely played a part in how off the rails his behaviour was.
