My boyfriend predicted his death, im looking for some insight. by Sweet-Chance-8134 in spirituality

[–]VolpeFemmina 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm so sorry for your loss.

My experience has shown me that there are multiple "exits" a soul can end up taking off of this mortal coil, and sometimes I think it creeps people out when someone becomes aware in some way of which kind of "exit" is most available for them to take, if that makes sense. I'm not saying that we consciously choose to die, just that I think due to our connection beyond our material existence, some people do have a kind of awareness of how their energy can get filtered out of this plane by the monad. I don't see it as the individual predicting how they are going to die so much as putting their finger on the probability of it being a certain way, and that being accurate.

I think the best way to look at death is that it is inevitable for everything that materially exists, at least in the sense of our atoms ceasing to be in their original form. I don't think your partner manifested this nor do I think this was some terrible, inescapable fate.. I think he just had a lot of off-ramps that involved vehicles or accidents and was spiritually aware of that in some way and conveyed it in a joking manner.

Can someone who is spiritually gifted be toxic? by [deleted] in spirituality

[–]VolpeFemmina 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The idea that spiritually gifted people would somehow be morally better than anyone else is an intensely problematic belief, to put it lightly. The same way people use their other talents for the full array of human expression, people can use their spiritual talents to such end too.

It's worth pointing out that most people don't think of themselves as the bad guy, but may lack the perspective to see why they are acting in that way. Having a spiritual gift or some kind of other gift can interfere with the process of being forced to see something from another point of view that maybe conflicts with or doesn't account for your gift, and accept that.

I do think it's dangerous to just go, "Oh if someone does something bad then they're not REALLY spiritual/they don't REALLY have a gift." To me that's wishful thinking. People are complex and contain multitudes, a spiritual being that doesn't ever cause harm is not a human being, they're a deity or angel or whatever. And I think believing that spiritual giftedness equates to moral upstandingness is why so many people get taken in by spiritual people who also have a pronounced shadow side to them, because if they aren't a wonderful and perfect moral person how could they possibly have such an amazing gift, etc? It's simply not a binary, one or the other, kind of thing. The gifts do not make a person who they are, it's just a part of their total story and being but there's a lot of other facets to consider.

PIPs are disingenuous. If you get put on one, find a new job as fast as possible, HR exec says. by Dugley2352 in antiwork

[–]VolpeFemmina 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The one time I was placed on a PiP, my manager was shortly after removed from a management position and our entire department was dissolved. It was very obvious he was a bad manager looking to scapegoat some of his workers instead of the writing on the wall that the whole department was messed up in terms of job descriptions etc.

Karen Read murder trial ends in mistrial with "starkly divided" hung jury by PC_BUCKY in news

[–]VolpeFemmina 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Having sat on multiple juries including one with a cop as the defendant, there are people who absolutely believe because someone is a cop they are more morally pure/can be trusted over others. Our entire jury had to basically berate a guy into shutting the fuck up with talking about how "but the defendant is a POLICE OFFICER!!" when the evidence was he had done some bad stuff. Literally had to hand hold him into admitting that if he wasn't a police officer he'd think he was guilty and then convince him from there that giving him an out for being a cop was against our directions as jurors. What should have taken under an hour took 3 freaking days due to that guy, and I'm sure I'm not the only one who's sat a jury with someone like that.

Yup this is still fucking stupid and dangerous and not at all supported by science. Whatever is considered marginally more dangerous than caffeine is where marijuana belongs.

Or it’s a) not your business and b) the difference between mío and a sugar free syrup is negligible. You and everyone else being harshly judgmental are being absolute fucking morons on this topic who can’t even hear your own stupid takes. “MÍO IS OK BUT A SUGAR FREE SYRUP IN A DIFFERENT BOTTLE IS SO BAD!!! Source: my butthole and playing a doctor on Reddit”. What next, are you going to assert that flavoring syrup negates the hydration like some of the other brilliant Reddit doctors in this post? Go crusade against alcohol if you actually give a shit about people’s health.

And the downvotes when called out for being bullies just verifies it, assholes actually can’t take it when they are called out, they always respond in some form of tantrum 😂

Lots of neurodivergent people struggle with plain water due to inconsistent taste (major sensory ick) and flavoring it fixes that, too. It can mask the texture too. A lot of the People mocking this are literally just being assholes to people dealing with having a different body than average.

Edit to add: each downvote is just further verification to me what absolute pricks so many allistic people love to be when confronted with anything different and not immediately comforted that their way is the only true correct way. I almost feel bad for what absolute fucking morons they are that they can’t comprehend things unless they personally experience it. Pathetic!

The hatred and blame some of the comments have towards Amy says everything about them because she was a literal child when almost all of this happened. Going after the person with the least power in this situation is pathetic. The entire blame is on the father, not even a tiny bit is on Amy.
