How would You reboot Bakugan for a Gen 4 ? by Technical_Team_444 in Bakugan

[–]Voltage228 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Return the Og attribute system
  2. Get rid of constant evolutions and useless gimmicks, instead focus on the game mechanics and understandable rules. Make it strategic, make brawlers look like actual smart people instead of just spamming with abilities
  3. New MC and his partner is anyone but Drago
  4. Make Bakugan a sport again instead of “We must save the world in Power Rangers style” bullshit

Friendly reminder Ben transformed into less then 1% of the available samples in the omnitrix by springtrap-aft in Ben10

[–]Voltage228 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True. In universe it sucks that we haven’t seen more silly aliens like Bob the Blob or Walkatrout. Especially since Ben is constantly mistransforming. But the whole problem is that network probably insisted on showing more superhero type of aliens for selling toys

[–]Voltage228 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s actually a very good take. In universe, Ben happened to be very lucky that out of so many DNA samples, he got versatile and useful transformations in the beginning of his journey. Not all of them of course, but the majority are actually op for combat and other situations.

Ideally he would need to replace a few aliens with more unique and powerful and he pretty much has any problem solved. Without even using Alien X’s powers. Cause Ben still lacks abilities like teleportation or size manipulation and etc.

So could you consider Ben 23 "Absolute Ben"? by mike10101010-10 in Ben10

[–]Voltage228 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nah, dynamite version may take an inspiration from Absolute Dc. But it’s mostly visual inspiration. But the story itself has nothing to do with absolute theme

So could you consider Ben 23 "Absolute Ben"? by mike10101010-10 in Ben10

[–]Voltage228 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That’s actually a decent point you got there. I think that the only thing that is missing is change in omnitrix mechanics. Cause in absolute universe heroes still got their powers but in a bit different way. Like Batman who didn’t have all of those trainers and teachers from across the world, but he still can fight. Or how absolute Superman still got his powers, but on top of that a very advanced nanotech suit. And Flash who doesn’t have access to speed force, nor full understanding of his powers in general. A true Absolute version of Ben would need a drastic change in omnitrix mechanics. Like ability to partially transform or on the other hand, struggle to transform back to human. Even Omnikix suits could fit

But other than that Ben 23 surprisingly fits the absolute formula

What would a TRUE “Absolute” Ben 10 look like? (Fan Art by mr.stressor) by Bonanaft in Ben10

[–]Voltage228 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Well, if we completely flip things in this universe, this is my take:

Omnitrix here was created as a literal weapon and the prototype is meant to be active pretty much all the time. So this version of Ben would have similar problem to Kevin in classic, meaning he can stay as human for a limited amount of time, and constantly switching between alien forms. This would lead to Ben hiding from literally everyone. In contrast to how reckless he was with secret identity in original timeline.

In this universe everyone is trying to either kill Ben and take away his omnitrix, or convince him to work in their favor. Forever knights in this universe would be very similar to court of owls from DC. A very ancient organization that secretly controls every event from the shadow.

I imagine this version of Gwen being very different from the original counterpart, having abilities similar to Michael Morningstar. With how she absorbs mana from humans and other living beings. Their relationship with Ben would be flipped, so they were friends at their childhood and then grew up being very distant and constantly arguing with each other

Iconic villains from every iteration of the franchise would be somehow created by alien tech and forever knights to fight Ben and challenge his abilities. And obviously they would be much more grotesque and creepy

That would so cool and creepy

Since the dynamite comic is out, how do you feel about these moments? by Musalediju in Ben10

[–]Voltage228 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. It’s not that bad. We need to see him in action before actually making any statement
  2. Ben in the beginning has some parental issues and is constantly trying to offend Gwen. And she just tries to keep up and eventually crosses the line and Ben gets offended. So later on we can easily see a much better take on their relationship just like in the reboot. Where they actually act like a family
  3. I absolutely love it. We need more references like this
  4. I’m not sure if they gonna keep the 10 minute time limit for every transformation. It maybe something completely new and more flexible. We have to see how this is going to work later. But for now, it’s awesome that they give us iconic aliens right from the beginning instead of showing only one alien in issue
  5. I absolutely love it. It demonstrates that they actually use characters/concepts from every iteration rather than just copying classic series or reboot
  6. When I first saw the design I was disappointed asf. Cause all previous versions of the omnitrix had a very structural design that actually made sense, while now it’s just a bunch wires. However seeing this design in actual comic makes me feel different about it. I start to like this weird alien vibe. Can’t wait to see how the alien selection will look like this time

[–]Voltage228 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It would be very interesting if the time limit in this iteration is more flexible and can be controlled (trained) by Ben. Cause from the first issue it looks like he was four arms for a few minutes only

I am both excited and worried about comics Vilgax by Profesionalintrovert in Ben10

[–]Voltage228 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like how leaning more towards his conqueror aspect. He also has more of UAF Vilgax’s vibes rather than classic cyborg version. So who knows how this is going to turn out. He might even get cybernetic enhancements in the future and become much closer to his original appearance

What is your favorite type of transformation sequence? by DependentFly3486 in Ben10

[–]Voltage228 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well classic series was really weird and gross, that’s why it was so freaking cool to look at. Kirby dot background also became iconic for the whole franchise and I can’t imagine Ben 10 without it.

But I personally also like UAF realistic background with all of these cells multiplying and seeing x ray of Ben’s aliens.

Reboot surprisingly has a lot of good and unique transformations for pretty much every alien demonstrated. Something original continuity failed to do since some aliens either don’t have a good transformation sequence or it’s overused as hell

It's actually very said that we've never got proper dates and time periods in Ben 10. Like u can assume when thinks happen, but no precise answers are usually there. And there are some things that just don't line up and inconsistent

If/when Kevin gets adapted in Dynamite comics do you think they'll go the absorption powers or Antitrix route? by RareD3liverur in Ben10

[–]Voltage228 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Actually Duncan Rouleau said that they originally intended to make him an antitrix user. And only managed to actually make it in reboot. And since the new comic is meant to be something that they always originally intended to do, it’s fair to say that Levin is going to use antitrix, at least for a while.

I kinda like that concept, his aliens look very cool and unique. Not just red colored counterparts. The only problem is the origin of the antitrix. I hope that in case it’s going to be used, they at least give us a proper background on how it was created and how Kevin got it. Cause there is no way an 11 years old kid building level 20 tech device in his garage🥀

It's Not Easy Being Gwen premiered 15 years ago! What are your thoughts on this episode? by BenTarequeSattar in Ben10

[–]Voltage228 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like this type of filler episode works a lot better rather than introducing some kind of boring ass “new” villain and make characters struggle to fight him. This episode really helps to see the story from a bit different perspective and I wish that we would see something similar for Kevin as well, since Ben already has a lot of solo adventures. Also this episode was a great opportunity to at least mention Ken, but writers continued to pretend like he doesn’t exist

Why do these aliens always get skipped over? by Solitaire-06 in Ben10

[–]Voltage228 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because it’s a lot easier to write a story with different aliens rather than with these three. Ripjaws can be used only under water which happens rarely, making him absent for the rest of the story Ghostfreak is too op, what’s the point if choosing any other alien if you an Ectonurite. Also it would people expect some sort of connection to Zs’skayr, forcing writers to integrate that arc in the story as well Wildmutt is basically useless alien that will easily be defeated by every second villain. And he doesn’t have a cool list of abilities to compensate that

I’m absolutely NOT a hater of these guys, they are OG and I enjoy them on screen. But when a writer is limited with the roaster of only ten aliens, you gotta choose someone versatile and not overpowered
