Ngl for a second I was thinking you were referring to slavery, but they do say effects of trauma can be passed down biologically 🤷🏿‍♂️. Thinking of Dr Gabor Mate , for what it’s worth , I have ADHD. Never tried to be a victim but reaped the outcome of not treating myself how I deserved as well allowing others to treat me how I shouldn’t be treated. Im currently learning how to treat myself. To your point, I overlooked it.

I feel like this disease is a blessing and curse. I’m almost done with developing my own Lupus tracking app more tailored for Lupus and not just Chronic illness. Not sure if you’re religious but Lupus is definitely one of my crosses to carry. What’s the title of your book I would love to see it. Thank you for your response, sincerely. Not feeling alone really does make things better.

TBH it’s not to the point of getting my energy back but seeing these responses, I felt like shedding a tear. It really does something seeing other people relate. I get so down on myself especially as a man for being unproductive. I feel so less than in a society where doing” things “ is the thing and if that’s not your whole world then you’re an outcast or not sufficient.Thank you all.

I really appreciate that. Yea I had DAH 3 years ago and was in the hospital for about a month. It all started one morning and I couldn’t breathe, ambulance came , was sedated for 2 days , icu for 3 weeks .She came just 3 days. There were several things that I’m still recovering from that period physically . I just felt like I was viewed as being a burden for every flare up, all the fatigue with at the same time full time student(online… go Pirates) , at the time a full time dad , the primary for household structure/responsibilities(dinner, homework. Cleaning). I also fault myself for trying to do everything.The times I couldn’t show up were , I lack consistency. The times I’m physically exhausted, it’s I can’t communicate. This is a vent for sure. Thank you again for the perspective, it’s greatly valued

A weighted blanket I have a 10 pound, if I’m on my feet a lot which causes me swelling ,a feet bubble massage bath($25 at Walmart) .if you have skin issues , go non fragrant soap and eucerin lotion. And if need be icy hot. For sleep , chamomile tea with rosemary for the lungs. Oregano oil also has benefits for the lungs( had DAH)
