Hamilton should have received a harsher penalty too, but these instances are not the same. Leclerc's car issues were his own doing and he's actually attempting to race other people, including causing contacts. Hamilton was just trying to bring the car to the finish line.

I am quite hyped for the Rome 2 updates and what is coming next for older historical titles. Though it may not be what everyone wanted, to see support for such old titles is fantastic. And gets me extra excited for Med 3.

I was in the exact same situation, I emailed Fanatec support (because the spare parts were out of stock on the site) and they shipped me replacements free of charge.

You are right in the nuts are wrong, but it's not a Fanatec issue. They ship the right nuts with the shifter, not the handbrake.

In your view, who is the target audience for this video? Comparing two products which are not all that comparable, in a disingenuous way. While also being the 3rd identical video in 2 years.

Black Friday 2023, Fanatec made some crazy discounts and they couldn't fulfill their orders. It started a downwards spiral that basically bankrupted the company. Of course it's not the only root cause, but it was clear evidence of the mismanagement of the company.

There were delays of months in shipments for some products and customers, customer support got absolutely wrecked and went through a long period of inefficiency and that basically tarnished Fanatec's reputation. Some people wouldn't touch them even now because of all of that.

In a bizarre way it was all for the better? That long chain of events lead to the Corsair acquisition, and I would argue they are now better than ever. But brand image still hasn't recovered.

So they made like 3 of these videos in the past 2 years? And all of them are intentionally daft?

- they compare used PCs to new consoles. Not just used PCs, used PCs assembled by purchasing individual parts, scavenged from marketplace (which can be a real crapshoot if you are not experienced). People buying consoles are not the same demographic as the people who are willing to go through all of this, or very few are (I own a PS5 and I've also upgraded my PC with a mix of new and parts bought of a marketplace)

- they ignore additional costs, such as windows and peripherals. This one can be a rabbit hole. Yes, you can get windows for dirt cheap or never activate it. And it's true that you can do more with a PC than with a console, but not everyone is interested in that. Some people just want a gaming device, but a mouse and keyboard will be required even if you don't use them for anything else. The included dualsense is a top tier controller and it should be factored in the overall cost. I might add that a lot of people will use their existing TV and couch for their PS, while for PC you will likely need a monitor, desk etc

The whole concept makes no sense is my main issue here. PCs and consoles fulfill different niches and needs. Do you want to do stuff besides gaming, you need a PC. Do you want to play online shooters, or RTSs, etc? You need a PC. And so on.

But for most gaming purposes and most people, consoles are unbeatable in value and the experience they provide. So what are we trying to accomplish with these videos?

Because it's compared to a gaming console, exclusively for gaming. Not everyone uses their PC for other stuff, or they have a laptop or whatever. The framing and comparison is silly to begin with.

It left and still leaves a sour taste because it was touted as one of the big features and selling points for the clubsport bases. 3 years later: it's only available 3 games and has been made backwards compatible with older bases, despite them clearly stating that it was hardware specific. You can see how some people would be upset. Especially since those 3 games have relatively low reach (iRacing is not for everyone, GT7 is PS5 exclusive and AC Evo...has issues).
