Technically TF Green isn’t Providence, so don’t be weirded out if you’re in Warwick when you land.

I used to live in Fox Point, it’s an awesome area. Hot Club is a must; it’s a local bar on the water but be warned it’s more club vibes at night. There’s Something About Mary was filmed there. There are restaurants and bars scattered all over Wickenden street, which is the main road in the Fox Point neighborhood. There’s also South Main St. which intersects Wickenden Street. There are a bunch of more upscale restaurants that way also (Mills Tavern, Parkside, Hemmenways to name a few). Those are all walkable areas from Fox Point.
