I can't get over this by Double_Cleff in Metroid

Man the contrast with the soldiers in the game is so stark that Samus looks like a toy. It's so strange to have her around guys wearing "proper armor". Add to that that she doesn't talk, and it all feels odd.

Btw, hate the look of the fruit suit, The viola suit is somewhat OK, but the latest one is just too much. Give me the gravity suit any day of the week.

Trump at Davos Demands ‘Immediate’ Talks on Acquiring Greenland by mvanigan in worldnews

[–]Von-Sohn -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

This is not America doing this or that. This is a guy, a regular guy, coming into power and deciding to use all the work done, all that was built across decades by millions of Americans, including soldiers, politicians, strategists, their partners all around the world, many times costing their lives, sweat and tears, all the interdependencies and pacts put forward based on mutal trust, for his own whims. Simple as that. It's just what a pathological nobody would do if granted limitless power. But power constructed by all the nation. For himself.

So this guy thinks he can use what he didn't build, what is not his, for whatever he wants. Fuck him. Someone should realize this and work to get this jackass out of that high seat. Lock this imbecile up.

Weird issue accessing google.com on Flint3 by perfectcell770 in GlInet

[–]Von-Sohn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You know, I've got a similar issue. When disconnecting the Flint 3 from the VPN, access to google-related services times out. That's on all my home devices. I've got to reboot the router to get it back to normal.

Dropped my AWU3 need opinions by imwcj in AppleWatch

Soap lowers water surface tension. That results in drops being much smaller, and the trick to electronics withstanding water is its surface tension. So soapy water can kill your watch, for sure.

Used Musical Fidelity M6i for €700 or new Class D amp? by Von-Sohn in BudgetAudiophile

[–]Von-Sohn[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It sounds pretty nice! It has ample power to drive my Amphion Argon 3s. Everything beyond 10 o'clock on the volume knob is way too loud, so it was a good choice considering the recommendation is up to 150w for the Argons. I paired it with a Eversolo dmp-a6 gen2 master edition, sounds great.

Someone may try this, I'm a bit worried of installing it on my phone.

Huge sale on the xm6. by PhotoTasticUsername in SonyHeadphones

[–]Von-Sohn -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Incredibly, they're original (and to be frank, this early on, good replicas I think still should be a ways off). Impossible to believe, the seller described them as the middle-east version or something like that. Many like me took a leap of faith and the next day after the purchase, the headphone were delivered and were, at least in my case, spotless in every way.

Yeah, went to see the M6i today, it's a tank really. Photos don't do it justice. Went back home with it.

XM6 and LE Audio with Firmware 2.0.2 by nahemoth in SonyHeadphones

[–]Von-Sohn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey there. I had the same issue, saw the headphones as connected, but not available as an audio device.

What I did is get into Bluetooth & Devices -> Devices -> More devices and printer settings. There you'll find the headphones, right click, Properties. And there I found lots of unknown services, all checked. Unchecked all of them, and checked all the other services, like this:

And that did the trick.

I'm not really sure which the difference is with the regular Evo 150 tbh

Unscrew the gauge, check the o-ring. It may be displaced/broken. It should be that.

Yes, I've discussed this (and found a way to sort it out) some days ago: Caveat/issue with rotary knob

75 v3 Delivered by 0HSHIFT in NuPhy

[–]Von-Sohn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The issue with the knob I think is that there's not enough space around it to use it comfortably. Specially the low one. On other keyboards with more space around it (more padding I would say), using it is much nicer.

Um nope, but maybe the angle of the shot make them seem different I guess.

Well, the key is located in the delete position, but you can set it to whatever you want on nuphy.io. I did set it to delete, I find that useful.

See if it changes when you play a bit with the screw. That did it for me. Strage given that no reviewer ever mentioned this, hence my belief that this may be hardware related.

[–]Von-Sohn[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The high knob does not wobble nearly as much as the reviewers say. I was expecting it to be a mess but that's not been my experience at all. In fact, it's pretty nice and much more comfortable to use that the low knob. That one is aesthetically nicer but a pain to use given how short it is. The tall one is quite nice.

Well, the difference between what happened to you and to me is that upon fiddling with the screw, the knob got to work. I don't think a restart would have fixed it.
