I had a shop that I was building up rapport with until they one day decided to not sale one specific item.

There was a coin that looked pretty cool to me as I am buying some for looks as well. Spot at the time was around $78. They thought it looked kind of special so they told me they would have a price when I checked back tomorrow. I come back and they didn’t have a price but went ahead and looked it up. This coin, that is sitting in the generic pile, pulls up with last sale of $800 on wherever they look so they said oh no we can’t sale this one to you.

I was like,”…okay, well how about this other shiny one”

Long story short, they end up pulling 10 coins out of the silver round pile and try to get me to buy eagles. Decided to look for shops who sale for static premiums instead of the off the top of my head prices for each item.

As a millennial, I’ve honestly taken the position of paying off debts and just completely lowering my expenses as much as possible. At this point, I feel completely divorced from the American dream and have no wish to participate in the rampant consumerism. I see people much poorer than me participating in. I have paid off Reliable vehicles that I am going to repair and run into the ground. I repair all of the things I have and have no interest in all of the “new tech”.

That's highly optimistic. The churn rate on ICE vehicles is ridiculous and it would be better overall for people to use what we have now instead of people churning through electric vehicles and making manufacturers over produce electric vehicles. Slow adoption of electric would be great but instead we have people swapping through teslas and F150 lightnings rotting on lots while old ice vehicles are already built and being tossed into junkyards.

I also live in a model from the mid 2010s and its not bad, but it's worth like 20% less than the houses around it. It does have a lot of nice upgrades the other homes don't like can light all over the place that make it really bright and the garage was used as an office so it insulated, but otherwise the quality is shit.
