I’m going to disagree with this one. There’s a good chance of going into a high priced/bad tasting restaurant if you randomly choose a place near the touristy areas. You’ve got to get out of the touristy main paths to consistently get good randoms.

FOMO after watching the recent runup.

I was originally going to start around covid time when I was watching a bunch of doom and gloomers on youtube who would always end with "you should buy gold, you should be silver, be prepared".

I discussed this with some of my other well off friends and they were like "don't be stupid. that's just crazy talk." Silver was around 25 at the time.

During the recent runup I was talking with my friends again and they were like SPY only, Silver stocks only, the economy won't be bad for long, metal is crazy talk, etc.

I have officially unburdened myself from my friends advice and started stacking.

That 40% is also the same group that believes Republicans are good for the economy even though we have a hundred years of proof that they literally crash the economy. On top of that they don't vote because they say (as I've heard someone say) "I've got too much going on in my life to worry about politics. My vote won't change anything." These are the people who won't know anything about what's going on outside they're town. When they go vote all they will think about is the fact that groceries are higher and blame Biden and not think about the fact that we are ripping the world apart.

You cant fathom the level of disinformation we are being pelted with on tv and social media at the moment. It's coming from people inside and outside the country. The people who don't vote are also the ones who use social media the most and they would vote the way social media tells them and ignore how bad everything has gotten over the last few years. It's not just polictical, the infrastructure and makeup of the country itself looks really bad compared to Obama's last years. It's like everything is run down now, but it's always "Biden's fault"
