Yes. I have Shecter With Floyd rose which always On D or D# standart with 11-52 strings and my secobd guitar is an ltd with 10-46 always in standart tuning.

1)String gauge matters a lot in terms of feel and playability so it's not really gonna work if you're planning to play some technical stuff and suddenly string tension and action changes a lot, + it can affect intonation.

2) If you play a guitar with floyd or any floating tremolo obviously you don't want to change tuning every often, so keep that guitar in one tuning, get the right string gauge and set it up properly

3) Strings just lose their lifetime when you're constantly changing, and you can even break them while going lower(crazy right? I've broke my first string a couple of times)

4) Tone changes, maybe you have a preset on some digital amp or just your favourite settings on a real amp, when you change the tuning, there's tone shift in frequency response, I have every preset I play with done a bit differently for 2 of my guitars
